Well Guys after all the recent chaos stick and I had a very long chat about the situation and have decided to move forward with this project. There have been many reasons for the delays and frankly I don't feel this is the correct venue to air the laundry.

I will say what started out as a "lets stick a 3 rotor in it" conversation has turned into MUCH more than the straightforward approach.

A lot more hours, many more parts and of course the finances of it have made this more of a challenge. There has been progress as of late and stick or myself will have updates very soon.
Keep the faith, this will be the mid-engined, gt-42 3 rotor slot car we all want to see at the track and on the street it's just going to require more time and resources.

Thanks for your interest, Scott

The saddest thing is that Scott waited until hours before the deadline to communicate this.

Scott has ZERO responsiblity to post progress on this. This is a private transaction and if I read between the lines correctly....the delays weren't exactly his fault.

now i think we deserve some details....that is kind of lame that even after deadlines are given, months pass, im sure monies were paid and still nothing.....lots of possible customers now tend to be in disbelief im sure......had this been me i would accept no excuses but since it was only a slight consideration i think not any more

Thats exactly what I said 4 pages ago.

The fact is I don't care, I'm never going to get a 3 rotor swap in anything I own.

I was talking about stickmantijuana, who used his work vacation to fly down to pick up his car, and scott ruins the whole thing by not communicating a realistic timeline to him. This isn't about what Scott owes me or this forum, but rather what he owes stickman.

The one thing that we can see is what we would feel like if we were in stickman's shoes. Used.

Actually, the only person who needs updates is stick, and he's getting them. Everyone else has to wait and see.

The saddest part is that a bunch of grown men hid around the corner waiting for Santa.

You guys have no idea what this project turned into.

Chrism,

You honestly don't know all the details, and I don't think anyone but Scott and Stick do. But you are not owed anything personally.

My thoughts, not that they matter very much, the project started simple, and the requirements/goals changed mid project. This is what we call scope creep in the project management world. Everyone hates it, but when it comes into play two things inevitably happen to the project: it takes more time and more money.

My project has taken awhile itselt, but had I just let Scott figure out my boost issue and redo my tubing, I would have had my car back months ago. But I decided I wanted this upgrade, that changed, this done better, etc.

You guys kinda remind me of my wife in regards to my project. She was all pissy and saying she wouldn't take that, and no progress blah blah blah. When I finally explained that I had as much fault in the matter as mazsport due to my changing the requirements, I ended up sleeping on the couch for a couple weeks.

Just my 2c, but I am pretty sure there is more than meets the eye here. Scott is definately excercising ethics 101 instead of defending himself here on the public forum and airing everything out. Keep that in mind when you try to place judgement on the Mazsport family.

Exactly! stickman had no idea what it turned into, and the kicker is that he said he tried to call Scott to find out. But that Scott repeatedly dodged his calls and never called him back, hence the issue with the work friend posting.

None of any of our business. Like was said --it is between Scott and Stick.
God if I had a dollar for everything that was promised to me at a certain time and wasnt ,i would be rich. Everyone leave it alone.
Stick posted this thread to share his project not as a medium for uninformed critic's and i am real tired of the people that just jump on and start pointing fingers.

i dont think i am owed anything personally and if i came off like that i apologize but i still think with all the hype something other than sorry but stuff came up and its delayed more is not a good enough excuse.......im not trying to say that mazsport doesnt do great work either....im sure they do.....but i wanna see it done already along with the other people on this forum im sure......i have no idea what percentage of people he gets from this site or the internet but im sure if nothing is said/done even that may drop a bit.....reputation is very important in a business like this and once its tarnished its very difficult to get it back

It seems the thread was started out of excitement WRT a very cool project. This had the potential to be a great marketing tool for Mazsport, but has really gone south. Regardless of whose business this is, nobody is going to be running to Mazsport based on this thread....

you can't put a deadline on such a project, it's done when it's done, scott had the integrity to at least post in the thread, if anyone disagrees lets see what projects of this nature you have completed....

What rather surprises me is the level of emotional attachment and the choosing of sides some of us have taken when we are not even the principals in the story.

That's the nice way of telling people to get a life?

No, not at all. Just that to be so emotionally-involved with a situation wherein we are not direct participants seems a little misprioritized.
