avelectronics still has the best solution for the money ! all the parts you need in one bax and its been tried and tested.

Dont understand why so many people want to try the hard way. I get that the other solutions may be cheeper but after you speend a bunch of time trying to get it to work and such its got to cost more. my time is worth 35$ hr. so I buy the things that I know will work the first time.

Save the money and buy the avelectronics unit.

as far as i can tell the avbox has the rgb to composit switch built into the unit. the unit you have is just designed to plug into a composit video source. it needs to be converted first. you either need the right avelectronics box ! or you just need to buy the converter listed above and put that inline with the avbox.

Sorry, no way!

The box is pretty expensive itself in my opinion, regarding that I already have a working Nav-System, but 650$ are way too much! For 700 Euro I could buy a whole new system!
so is the car but the good stuff is never cheep

Thanx for your reply.... I actually fixed the initial issue I had ... but, I could use some help pertaining to something along the same lines ... my first issue was very bad distortion with the A/V electronics box.. I figures out that's hadn't spliced the wires properly.. I fixed that and another issue arrose.. from what I read it is a grounding issue ... what happens now is, when I'm cruising the video is fine.. when I give the car gas (higher rpms ) or turn the air on .. basically anything that has to do with drain on the electrical system, it gives me lines and waves through my st ockbnav screen, I also some times hear a "wineing" alternator sound from the speakers... I have replaced the battery with an optima red top and installed a "max ground" grounding kit thinking that itvwoukd solve the issues... I have had little success entirely eliminating the problem...
