I am out there to have fun. And I do. So you guy's can slam AT's all you want. I really don't care.
Most of the time on the road courses I leave all the other MT RX-8's behind.I will attribute it to my mad driving skills.
So carry on with your flaming.
Absolutely. On a road course, good driver > bad driver. But, you could be doing the same MT-bashing with a completely stock AT, for the same reason.

Without the N2O I have 128 WHP. I don't use it on the track. I think the car is a testament to the designers.Well done!

The RX8 has good brakes, pretty good front suspension, pretty OK rear suspension and an engine that, while it intrigues me as an engineering piece, is really less than compelling...I guess that's a "testament to the designers" of some type, huh? Actually, when you factor in the cost (you can get brand new MT RX8's for right at $20,000), it is a solid sports car...particularly if you own Exxon stock.

It's cool you like to play with your car and bolt on parts to try and improve your personal best, but I would think it would ultimately prove to frustrating to try and overcome the penalties of both the Renesis motor and an automatic trans in drag racing. But, we become attached to our cars...heck, I'm still working on the restoration of my Sunbeam Tiger, at great expense, and when I'm done I'll have a car that isn't really that "good"...but, one that we love like a family member.

i know this adds a lot of variables but there are a lot of nice turboed auto vehicles...just a +1 for the automatic class...i kno its bc of turbo but anyway... it could be a whole other animal but i have a lot of good friends with turboed automatic vehicles that could play all day at the track and then some tryin to get the best launch
