Not sure what I bought..

Hey all

I just bought a 05 6spd manual jap imported type S.

Firstly - Have no idea which engine it has. (4/6 port) and how can I tell?

Secondly - what's the difference between stock rx8s. Type S and Type RX?

Finally how fast should it use coolant? I used 2 litres over 450km is that normal? 98,000kms Cars had 2 owners. One in Japan for 7yrs. One here in NZ for 2. Been serviced by Mazda every 6 months according to the service sheets. No problems I saw.

All help much appreciated

You need to immediately find out where that coolant is going. A cooling system failure could be imminent and cooling system failures can be disastrous and cause all sorts of havoc with your engine, even to the point of destruction.

Oh ... and welcome to the club.
