tsunami body kit owners..?

i just purchased a tsunami kit.. this is the first body kit ive ever bought.. is it suppose to be like a rubbery material? it was just delivered and sat outside for a lil bit and is flexy... is that how its suppose to be? for the fasteners did you guys have to cut out wholes or were they pre cut? after installation what did you use to cover the openings on the front grill? also how much did you pay for it to be painted?

thanks

you want it to be flexible, that way it can be made to fit properly if needed and not be prone to cracking.

The bumper should have mesh on it if not you can buy it from home depot.

prep, paint, and install on front bumper and side skirts will be minimum of about 4-500. make sure you get it done right by a reputable shop though. some bumpers come with predrilled holes, some aren't so the bodyshop will do the drilling to fit. you have had some mesh to go over the openings on the front, but homedepot has the same stuff.

We bought the Tsunami kit from Show n Drift. You can check his web site to see the pics of the bumper installed. Yes, it is black and very flexible. We paid a body shop to prep/paint/install the bumper, along with sideskirts and rear pieces. The paint was a little more in our situation, given the whitewater/snowflake pearl.

Here's a link to the install for Snowfl8k's kit. We have some shop pics, as well as finished pics. Hope that helps.

When I got my Tsunami kit, it had a tear also. I was told by Tsunami that it's due to their manufacturing process. It's really not a big deal and the body shop that painted my kit patched it up well.

yep.

Manufacturing creates the tear.

i have the tsunami kit and fittment is pretty good for the most part. There is a little "midesign" around the headlights, but overall i'm happy.

By the way. It does not come with rear pieces. But comes with the grill installed in the front. The sideskirts do not have grill in the holes.

Urethane is pretty durable. I've hit a few things and bottomed out a couple times with my kit. I'm not lowered so that helps a lot. Good luck with the install.
