He's gonna have to do quite a bit of reading in the AP thread to get that specific answer. Being in the AP space, and loving the hell out of it, I'll answer...
You have to tell MM explicitly what you want your rev limit to be set to otherwise it'll default on the AT to 7,500.

Further customization can be realized by way of increased engine redline, altered S-DAIS operation and a variety of "novelty" calibrations such as "valet" mode, "anti-theft" mode and other such single-purpose adjustments.
That's not a damn pubic hair you twits

ok so to make things easier, which i hope i dont get my head ripped off cus im asking it on this forum, but wouldnt it be very dangerous to raise the Redline of a 4 port RX-8 since its only 4 ports and cant shoot enough fuel in or im assuming the AP shoots more fuel in to compensate for only 4 ports instead of 6???

I was told I should come over here and flame too.
But I won't flame, I'll just post stock cars and their 1/4 mile times:
2000 Toyota Celica GTS - 15.2
1996 Volvo 850 R - 15.3
1994 Honda Prelude VTEC - 15.1
1992 Ford Taurus SHO - 15.4
1999 Ford Contour SVT - 15.2
1990 Eagle Talon TSi AWD - 15.1
1994 Chevrolet Impala SS - 15.4
1993 Acura Legend LS - 15.4
You're in good company.

We all were invited to come over to this thread and enliven it. That's an invitation that I can't refuse.
Inquiring minds have two questions regarding the whole idea of this thread:
1. When driving an automatic transmission car on a drag strip, "driving skill" seems to me to be limited to (i) steering straight for 1/4 mile; (ii) keeping one's foot all the way to the floor, and (iii) getting your foot there as quickly as legal. Only (iii) involves any skill at all, especially when going that slowly. I'm not sure how Flash draws the conclusion that the OP is "a very good driver," but merely quickly slamming your foot to the floor of a torqueless car does not seem to me to constitute being "a very good driver."
2. The only thing more inexplicable than drag racing a torqueless wonder sports car is drag racing an even more torqueless, automatic transmission "sports car."

I have no problem doing SCCA and NASA events with my little torqueless Automatic.
I am out there to have fun. And I do. So you guy's can slam AT's all you want. I really don't care.
Most of the time on the road courses I leave all the other MT RX-8's behind.I will attribute it to my mad driving skills.
So carry on with your flaming.
