Thanks for the info though, it does shed some light on how to prepare. What time do you guys plan on getting there...are there any other things to consider in registration or tech at an event such as this. Are our Motorcycle helmets going to fly? Is there water at the track, or should would bring some extra bottles to refill the sprayer....? Man, so many questions.

Reg and tech is pretty straightforward. Have you read about all the required decals? You can get them at the event if needed. Also, you will want to fill out contingency forms for Kumho which you can also get at the event.
For registration, all you really do is check-in. You need drivers license, SCCA card, and a 2007 Solo rulebook. Find someone that has it and borrow there's... or else they will make you get one for $20.

You also need the Kumho and Mazdaspeed stuff, which I think you already have. Read about here: http://www.scca.org/Solo/Index.asp?I...0&x=050|080&~=
Jason probably has a rule book. I don't, since I was working reg this weekend and didn't need it.

yeah, lots of little things they dont tell you about... like the rule book thing. why do people always pull stuff like that. that would have been a real shitty thing to find out at the event. thank god for the Jasons. at least now we have a heads up.

Casey, looks like we need to pre register for Kuhmo and Mazdaspeed Contigency programs. You just recently got into Mazdaspeed, right? Looks like there is money for third place finishers....cause we both know 1st and 2nd are wrapped up with the EVO

Casey, this is what I was referring to, with regards to the window "Tire Rack" sticker....
1 windshield decal – large size for cars with OE-size windshields (4.0" x 30.5")
Location: top of front windshield
Prepared and Modified cars w/ small windshield or w/o windshield
1 decal – small size
(Visible from front, about 50° each side of centerline)
...don't know if this means we can, or can't put a Tire Rack of equal size on the hood instead of the window on top of the Rotorlution Banner.

Jason, do you have any "official Mazda" stickers left. I know we will need a 26 inch one for the hood, and two 22 inchers for the rear fenders.
The Mazdaspeed one I have for local events is not official.....
Could Casey just print out some of his own, since the Mazda decals will be the only decals not provided at the event.

BS was a ton of fun to watch. being on course made it SOOOOO cool. I cant get over how fast those BS guys could drive. VERY impressive to watch. everyone at the tack was talking about BS.

Had a blast. Glad you and Jason prompting me to go...and so glad, after seeing those SM cars...that casey decided to go and was willing to have a codriver. We lucked out that way, having a set of tires for both days. I think this helped...not enough to make up 2 seconds to get with our class....but 44's was my goal, and was happy I performed that on Sunday.
On another note, this was my first go at the timing lights...and had no red lights...with the fastest RT of the event at .512......awsome experience...makes a "normal" solo seem boring now.

I was rather disappointed with my RT's , although I have no clue what my best one was since I have not seen my time slips yet. but I can bet there are none that I would be happy with.
I was trying to NOT red light as I did not want to waist a run on a red light (even though I did early Sunday. ) If I was sitting in a better position Sunday morning, I would have tried a little better to cut some nice times.
Keith do you still have my time slips? do you know what my Rt's were? also if you have them, can you post 60' times? Spank you.

MP5 was in SS
Speed and I were in BSP
Ullose and a bunch of the BS RX8 guys were in BS
Score is based on your quickest time on course A, plus best time on course B (regardless of what day they were ran on).
Ran course A 6 times (4 on Sat, 2 on Sun)
Ran course B 6 times (4 on Sat, 2 on Sun)
Course A and B were basically mirror image courses of one another.

I forgot to get them out of your car when we did all that tire and cat swapping....they are all in your center console. I'll try and remember to pick mine up when I bring you your tires. Maybe late Tuesday evening. Have plans with Loren right after work....
If you have the chance to review time slips...maybe you could put some numbers up.

oh yeah, you know what was not helping much, was the fact the I continually held the e brake during my launch.... this was driving me NUTS! most drag strips are level and do not require the foot, foot, rev holding, light paying attention to, AND e-brake coordination. I can do all the others, but throwing that damn e-brake in there was one to many i guess. I would hold the e brake till maybe 30 feet, then remember "****, the e-brake is still on... HAND: RELEASE BRAKE". gave the car one hell of a chatter on launch.
