I think they are still discussing how the divisional will work. Originally, it was supposed to count as 2 CalClub points events... but they may just have Sunday count. I would probably just run Sunday, but we'll see.

CalClub points calculations use a retarded formula.

Driver’s Points = 100 – 400 [(Drivers Time – Winning Time) / Winning Time]

I guess they wanted more variation between points. For RX8 cup, we're using the formula you stated (also used in SD).

Driver’s Points = 100 – 400 [(Drivers Time – Winning Time) / Winning Time]

So, with that formula, using the above two times:

Casey would be

100-400 [(64.787-64.787)/64.787] 100-0=100.000

Fernando would be

100-400[(64.924-64.787)/64.787] 100-0.845=99.155

Don't be jealous that you can't be in the cup.

I showed the drop because Jason and I have missed an event. We plan to drop 3 by the end of the season and we are about 1/3 into it, so it is useful info.

I dont know if we talked about it but we should think about if we want the night event to count.... I think you need to have a points card or be an SCCA member to get in so some people might get left out.

My response to that, would be the same as my response for the 2-day divisional....if it counts towards year points for Cal Club, it should be available as an event for the Cup.

One night event each year...yes, very fun. Short track, but fun.

Ulllose...I went to check the upcoming events, I didn't see the divisional. Is there a date planned for this yet?

this thread has been dead for almost a month. I had to actually enter a search to find it...it wasn't even on the first page anymore.

You updated the first page?

I think you may need to revise what you put in for the most recent update to page 1.....also, on 4/22, Isely wasnt there. I believe it was Jason M who got 2nd.

Looks like I will join you guys on Sun.... After 3200 miles of driving and five days in Houston I am to tired to spend all day at El Toro with PCA. So BS in the AM will make for a nice short day in Fontana.

Nice fresh 12 run tires.

New shoes, cloths and all the stuff needed for the dog. I could have bought another set of SSR's.

Weekends free to do anything I want because she is busy with the dogs. Now if I could just find the budget for T3 in 2008. I guess I could get a J O B.
