Yes, as far as I know it is the final pulley for a Stage II. I believe a Stage III will use a smaller pulley but Cam is the one to ask.

They are working on the Stock ECU Reflash first. There is headway being made. As soon as it is finished there will be testing with the 8psi pulley for the stage II. Cam won't release anything until he has tested re-tested and tested again. So there will be another pulley available but don't know exactly when.

Yeah stage III. Will be a smaller pulley but will also consists of other componets to be able to handle the added psi.

The other pulley is still in testing with no release date yet. I do not work for nor am representing myself as a Pettit spokes person but I just talked to Cam and that was one question I asked him.

More info on tuning

Folks,

If you look closely at the charts you will notice that Scott only pushed the engine to 9,000 RPM and changes to the MAP configuration are very conservative both at my request. Why? Because I want my engine to last a very long time. My RX8 is only driven once a week to work and several local AutoX events per year. On my last AutoX (no FI or RB sways) I was able to qualify 3rd. First place was a 2004 Corvette ZO6 with race tires and second place was a gutted out and race prepared M3. I was only 4 seconds behind first place and forth was and EVO. As you can see handling has lot to do and an RX8 is way up the graph when it comes to handling. I can’t wait to see what will happen next month when I get to run my RX8 with all the new mods.

At time stamp 00:20 seconds is going full throttle on 3rd gear (no cluth action, I was cruising on 3rd gear). From 3rd to 4th gear at time stamp 00:27. My 13 yo son took the video.

my wife hates you----
But, seriously--i am at about 70% positive about to make the decision to go to the dark side.
dont want a turbo---no way.
Taking with Paul at mazsport about going ahead and getting the water pump and putting a K radiator in. that is a good move regardless.
what management system is mostly used?

olddragger

I think you are reffering to mazmart and not mazsport.

My SC RX8 runs cool with just the stock radiator and water pump. The only thing you will need is the Mazsport cooling fan mod switch. This will save you some money.

Let me know if you need more information.

i do stand corrected and embrassed--mazmart it is! Hope Paul doesnt read this.
i was thinking at the time on how to swing a deal in getting the interceptor x i guess.
I am pursuing additional cooling capacity because I like to track my car about 3 -4 times a year. To the best of my knowledge I dont of anyone that has tracked this set up yet?
Can't the fans be turned on through the interceptor ecu? If not then i would get the one available through Summit racing. I have the RB fan fan turn on already--that should work shouldnt it?
few ? --
1- cold starts--how is that handled?
2- do you lose cruise control? if so no big thing.
3- does the cat have to go?
4- any fuel system issues (would it be advantageous to get the oem injectors blueprinted/sorted?)
5- does the oem clutch hold up ok(i am not true to my name--dont spin rubber anymore!)
6- running oem plugs?, would the aem twin fire be of any help?
I will be calling yall. And what my plan is at present once I have decided(this is a BIG step for me) (I think I will be the only one in Georgia ), is to have the car prepared for the system once I come down, dont want tp piece meal this.

According to Moon someone tracked their car down in Sebring on a day with some pretty hot temps a few months ago and had no issues. Cruise control works like normal; I use it all the time on the highway. I still have my stock cat, and it still looks good. I'll eventually get a high-flow cat or straight pipe. Haven't heard of any fuel system issues, still stock everywhere. I'm still on my first clutch, 20.6k miles on it (3 of them with the kit, no issues, still the same, and I drag race the car). I'll probably upgrade that when I upgrade the flywheel though. Also still on same plugs, but Mazsport is recommending some cheaper RX-7 plugs that will fit fine with the shims they provide. Not sure how much of an improvement these plugs will bring over the stock plugs, but I hear they're a lot cheaper.

If you are still looking for one as soon as Cam at Pettit finishes their ECU Reflash tool/kit. I will be selling my Interceptor-X. I just got it back in May of this Year. If interested or anyone else who is just let me know.

Damn--I'll never hear the end of this! .................
And Paul was gracious enough to even sell me one of their waterpumps. These things are a work of art guys.
e mailing Pettit tonight for questions--maybe i will be the 1st in Georgia? Of course my wife will have me committed, my kids will call me stupid, but then ask for a ride, the dogs will not care and all the neighbors will be shaking their heads. Guess I will have to remind her of that Alaska cruise she took with the kids this summer while i stayed home and worked? Maybe I had alternative motives all along when i did that? Naaaaaaaa! Not me. Never. But does sound good.
