THERMOSTAT is the culprit. Had the water pump pulley off and zero noise, put it back on, and the pump is quiet, but the thermostat is chattering.

Used my screwdriver to isolate the source - Brettus you kill me sometimes. Thanks

And half of those posts don't make any sense... LOL

Yea, a thermostat is the easiest to fix also. I have two spares.

If it's one of our thermostats at fault I'll be happy to replace it.

Paul.

LOL - yep

Not really sure why mine was chattering. Must of been trying to open, and only chattering open and closed. Temps seemed normal, but I do remember seeing some hot temps the other day when it was hot outside...

The one thing I miss about throttle cables, is the ability to rev the engine while under the hood checking on things. Dang drive-by-wire...

I still think I have a small air leak somewhere, but can't find it while the car is idling. The wife works all the time, and is never around when you need her to work the accelerator pedal.

Maybe I don't have a leak, as MM mentioned the other night during the AP Webcast, that a vacuum leak would trend my LTFT upward, to a plus value, and I do not have that. Maybe ceramic seals and streetporting is just going to be noisy? I have zero experience here, so maybe this is all just normal, and I am overreacting.

Really could use MMCCS v4.0.2 now, but the wait continues...

What do you mean by noisy?

Too lazy to re read everything, I'm on a street port as well but without the ceramic apex seals.

I think it is just me. It like a wissshing sound - hard to describe. I hear it mainly from the cabin. Could be that since I deleted the dampening under the hood bonnet, maybe I am just hearing the s-dais more than normal.

i read that deleting the dampening material really increases the noise you hear

LOL - yea, after chasing that dang knocking sound around the engine bay, I'm being picky now.

The thermostat clicking noise was going through the entire coolant system, and the hard pipe across the firewall was amplifying it.

I'm back to waiting on MM to get me my next map.

In the meantime, I am looking at more gauges. I need a good A-Pillar pod, anybody know of one? I would like to add AFR, Fuel Pressure, and EGT possibly.
