Any details for the turbo build What are you going to do with the current motor?

 

I will start a new thread - that pic was just a teaser - LOL

Not sure what I will do yet, I just love the car so much, that I thought about building another motor.

 

Should be fun and looking forward to the build thread. You thinking porting? Top mount?

 

I have my old engine in my garage, and thought it would be a good project to tinker with. I might look for a used RX8, gut it completely, install roll bars, fire extinguisher, and a full turbo on it and track it.

Anybody have MM AP v4.0.1 instructions? I'm waiting for Jeff to reply in his thread, but thought I would ask here also. I need to data log the WOT now to get 4.0.2 from him.

Yeah, I didn't take a rental though. I still have my baby until I get the new engine :-)

 

That is a good point. Both times my motor died in the service bay so no real option to keep while waiting fornthe new motor.

 

That sucks! They tested my car and I got a 5.4 for my compression. :-)

I did all my tunes with idle and 4th only. you can read the mm site to be sure but i think that's the process. i'm waiting for the midpipe to arrive before i log for 4.0.1

You know, I have been chasing what appear to be air leaks. Noisey little engine with the hood dampening material removed.

Have an exhaust leak also...

maybe this weekend get some dyno logging in, need to check schedules

 

I think I have lean spikes under WOT. I thought I data logged it last night, only to find my AP did not log. Must of been a firmware update that now requires me to press OK twice to get it to log.

I think I will start over again anyway. I am going back to the REVi intake. My car runs better with it for some reason.

 

Starting over on the tune. Went back to the REVi. My idle is smooth as glass with it.
