I'd trust that over that other thing I linked to earlier.

Yea, but to your point... 250 for a catless midpipe is pretty steep.
I bet I can do 200 shipped if I wait a little bit. Besides, I have plenty of other projects to do in the car.
DB: I tried both going from the top and removing the bumper and coming from below to try to pull those parking lights... but, I got frustrated and moved on.
I have started running the main amp power wire... I made it into the cabin at the drivers side. So far so good there. I need to run up and get the FatMat I have left over. Might as well put that in while I have everything torn apart.

I have passed the information along to Lauri at the c6c.
Update: Looks like reading through the c6c forum that there is one other person that is looking for white. Since you do have 2 cars...I want to clarify. You are only looking for one at this point...correct?

my mazda weekend
Well, Friday Night and most of Saturday were spent doing those odd projects. I took a few photos for your consideration.
No luck on the parking lights. Cut my hand and gave up.
I did remove the reflectors from my clear corners, which was a stupid project. and installed the 3M bra inserts over my headlights and foglights... i have a few air bubbles on the passenger side, but i can deal with it.
Then is the routing of the Amp power cable. Most people on the forum chose to zip tie the cable to the strut bar... I didn't like that look. I ran mine below in front of the alternator and under the air duct. (pic)
I am worried a little about the heat. . . thoughts?
Also, I installed my bass control **** right in the middle of center counsel. I had the DSC switch all pulled apart, but my legs are long, and I can't actually reach that whole panel comfortably when driving... And I have the feeling I'll be using this **** a lot. It still needs something though, it looks clean, but unfinished.
I also installed the rest of my fat mat under the rear seats, center counsel, and deck lid... The whole while all I heard in my head was "mid-pipe! Mid-pipe!"

I had the clear corners installed already, but the previous installer didn't take the reflectors out. So I pulled both off and removed them... I wasn't as gentle as I should have been, but its not noticeable, to me anyway.
I bought the midpipe from swoope. The Mazcare 3inch cat (gutted) and resonator.
https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?t=153950
225 shipped, which isn't as cheap as I wanted, but oh well. It gives me the ability to have a cat put back into it if its too loud or whatever.
I'll try my luck at installing that this weekend, as long as it arrives on time pending that hurricane thats going to hit Florida where its being shipped from.

posted this in the For Sale section of the site. Per some promptintg, thought i would do so here as well.
I have a set of four 17" Wanli S1099 Street tires (less than 12k miles on them, currently unmounted) for sale.
They were on my previous car that i sold.
Tire pattern:

Tire size is 215/45 ZR17

Local pickup only as i have no way of getting them to fedex or ups to ship. (i mean come on... we all know how small the rx8 trunk is and that's all i have)
North East Ohio
$150 for all 4

I''d be surprised if you have any luck selling those here. No one has 17" wheels who drives on the street. Stock are almost all 18" (some autos came with 16") and the only people who buy 17" wheels for their 8 use them for track/autoX and are going to have better tires to put on 'em.
You might want to give the Cleveland6Club.com folks a heads up. Otherwise just go w/Craigslist.

I don't know any Mazda with 17's. Those people that I do know that slap a set of 17's on there only do it for the winter and street tires aren't going to help around here.
Yea, I have 17x7s with Blazzaks for the winter... thoughts about getting something like this just for screwing around... 150 for a decent set of burn'em up tires. But... now isn't the time for that, according to my bank account.

Heh. You might want to explore your car a little more. Put 4 trash bags over them and put them in your back seat. I had my entire catback exhaust in there and everyone who does track/autox events with 2 sets of wheels/tires bring them in their back seat without a problem. Doc even had a kid and 4 tires in the back of his for the NORA challenge... Still shipping makes no sense since it'd cost as much to ship as your selling price.

Well my weekend was fun....
First I ended up having to work on BOTH my bathrooms together.
In my 2nd bathroom that was in service while I finished the upstairs bathroom, the sink's trap got a nice horizontal crack and to make a long story short, I ended up having to replace all the piping from the sink to the main return pipe.
To end my weekend, the 6-year-old was trying to adjust the web camera on top of my wife's monitor.
She ended up tilting the whole monitor towards her and it fell off the desk, hit her knee, and landed on the floor.
She is OK, but when I plugged the monitor back in, it made a nice "sparking" sound.
So to keep my wife/kid from using my computer, I had to give them my monitor (could have given them a 17" I have laying around, but its old).
So I had to take down my 32" LCD TV from the pool/bar room and used that as a monitor.
Of course all I have is an S-Video cable, so the display is blurry (except videos aren't bad).
I just ordered an HDMI cable and a DVI-HDMI adapter.
I could have gotten a 6' 28AWG HDMI for $6.99, but I decided to get a 6' 24AWG (with net jacket) for $9.50.
NO... I do not want to start a debate with other "geeky" people like me about the need for smaller gauge wire with HDMI.
The information is digital, there is no such thing as interference with HDMI, the thicker copper (smaller gauge) is only needed for longer distance.
Can you tell I've had this debate one too many times...
The DVI-HDMI adapter was only $3.63, so all together not too bad (better than retail).
I didn't want to get a DVI-HDMI cable because I'll probably use the HDMI cable on something else once I get another monitor (like my cable box which is currently using component because my HD-DVD player is using my only HDMI input on my TV).
So now I must wait... with a 32" "monitor" that'll give you a headache if you attempt to read text too long.
Sorry for the lengthy thread.... just needed to rant.
