+1 on Westside (Montrose) on Brookpark Mazda, Steve. Unfortunately, that's a bit of a drive for you.

They've actually come to my house to pick up the car for warranty repairs and left free loaner car.

Doc - can't you just give me one of your 8s as a loaner?
... could you send me the flier that you're using - I don't need a "personalized" flier. Just something to put on the cars when I see them.

I think Park Mazda on Arlington is the closest dealer... but I doubt that they have a "Rotary Specialist."

I'm hoping to be done with problems and dealers for awhile now. But I can't resist doing stupid **** to the car. I wonder what the record is for rotary emblems or motifs on one car?

Jon: any idea on times for the move this weekend?

And we're still on for the 16th meet?

And a Jeep may have fallen out of favor with me as it can't tow very much. I was hoping it could tow at least 3k lbs. But I still haven't eliminated the idea.

Any of you guys know of a DIY on filling your windshield washer fluid? I ran out today and I'm scared to do it myself.

This place is more dead than the Browns Playoff party I threw last weekend.

Yeah, I would highly suggest not returning to Park if you don't have to. I literally was about to explode. He gave me a ton of BS saying that the tech took the car for a test drive and brought it back and the security cameras were on and watched the car blah blah blah. Said the techs could've driven any of the speed3's on the lot and wouldn't have used mine etc.

So since this happened, I haven't had my car down there since. Especially since it was 45 minutes just to get there, wasn't worth my time. I've gotten calls from Ray (the finance guy) asking how the car is etc.. said it was a crap car, sold it.. and I'm buying a focus to replace it. He wasn't too happy, still bugs me all the time though. Very bad business people and setup there and service was even worse, minus one tech.. ok sorry.. /end vent.

I ran out this morning too, weird. If you figure this out let me know, I'm tired of throwing snow on my windshield.

I think Outback does call ahead seating only... so one of us just needs to call at like 3:00 on that friday and let them know. I went to the Outback down here last saturday and they said an 85 min wait for 2. . . so we walked up and sat at the bar... I kept my little buzzer thing... it went off as we just finished our steaks (after our bloomin' onion.
. . . good story huh - and then I found 5 bucks.

Time - 6ish?

You didn't like the car itself? Any reason? I should bounce over to C6C more often... I really liked the car on my test drive, minus spinning the tires every single start, sometimes even by accident

I've tried to do a lot of research on the car and it keeps winning 10 best this, and best performance car for the money, etc. I'd be really interested in hearing about the problems you had with the car itself.

Wait. I showed Brian how to do the Washer Fluid DIY. I specifically remember doing it at Northfield because I was trying to impress people with my technical car mechanical skillz and tiresmoker said something along the lines of, "That's stupid. It's just gonna weigh you down."

I cried myself to sleep that night.

Word on the street was that Mazda only tested out the tranny with male test shifters. Girls keep breaking it. So Megz is gonna use a Ford to learn how to shift correctly before going back to a Mazda...

They break RX-8 transmissions too.

*runs for cover*

But to put it mildly Steve, the MS3 has an issue with the tranny being, well, junk. Second gear likes to op out on you for no apparent reason (either the shifter will pop out, or the tranny will just throw itself out of gear and the shifter will stay in place) To this date Mazda still hasn't found a fix for it. Everyone that has autocrossed their 8 has had it happen. And even people that haven't and just drive on the street have the issue.

It's basically a junk tranny

And women who can't drive stick properly just make the problem worse

Just Turbo Bongs. No one's quite sure what would happen if someone created a Supercharged Bong...

Belt driven, so you would probably have to hook it up to some sort of bicycle. That would blow.

It was a Dealer option. $420 pricing. I believe it was discontinued in all states but California where you have to have a special license to get it. You know how odd they are with emissions laws.

Hey smart people that can wire stuff:

I posted about this right after I got my 8... but got distracted putting on stickers and strut bars...

How hard would it be to install a fuel cut off valve that disables the fuel pump? I read on here (among the smart *** replies) pull the fuel fuse.

I'm looking for an in cabin switch somewhere - how hard would this be? Is there a wire that could be tapped into closer to the rear of the car that would be easy to put a switch on?

I'm terrible when dealing with those wire bundles, and since my experience with the speakers in the trunk (if you remember me blowing out the interior accessories fuse) I am not super eager to just go "slip slip" again.

Also - Jon: how did you fix you heater again?
