I hit up everyone I could think of going back in the thread for contact info. Hopefully I caught everyone.

There's a lot of names on the first few pages that we haven't heard from in a long time. Wonder if they're still around............

I made fields for:

Posts in the regional, lounge, and for sale forums don't add to your post count.

Noel and Jon came over and we managed to get my radio out (with a tip from John), get off top center top console, cut the crap out of it with a dremel, and now I'm gluing the gauge pod in place. Will put it back together again tomorrow night.

Also got the oil catch can in place:

https://www.rx8club.com/showpost.php...1&postcount=16

Tomorrow is just me doing my routine stuff (coolant, oil change, and brake pads) and then if I decide I'm psycho enough making a run on installing my gauges. Thinking I might end up passing on those tho.

Thanks Ryan and Noel...
You guys could have told me that I had pieces of plastic debris all over my face from that center console!
Didn't notice until I got into the bathroom to wash my hands.

Oh man I didn't even notice em. I took off my glasses to work on the car! I am getting the bug and want to start modding my car. I think first thing is going to be plugs, RP 5w20, and then redline in the tranny and rear diff.

I need to order plugs, wires and redline diff fluid. Let me know if you're interested and we'll order together to save on the shipping.

I'm going to order soon, to do work in Feb when I get back from El Salvador.

Jon, you got a suggestion on where to get plugs and wires.

Sounds like a good plan. When did you want to do this? I was thinking about spring tune up as it will not get a lot of miles this winter.

You can get the plugs and wires from Charles R Hill.
Or I can give you a good deal on my AutoEXE plug wires:

If you don't have many miles on them, that works for me. Where's best place for spark plugs?

Noel, I want to do work in Feb when I get back from El Salvador. Be done and ready for car to come out of hybernation in March. I wish I could drive it tonight, but I have the insurance turned off.

I don't know if I can change the coils on red racer. Might not be legal. I know the wires are OK.

You can still get the plugs are wires separately from Charles R Hill... no need to get the full coil package if you don't want to.

Yeah I need to save up Doc I am sorry I am going to have to wait longer than Feb. Once home Depot card is paid off for the insulation I bought to blow into my attic I can start squirling money away for the tune up.

At least get the diff fluid with me. Shipping is more than the fluid. It's only like $10, but $7 shipping. Looks like I'll be getting Jon's wires.

Yeah... I got my engine, trans, and diff oil along with my oil filter from Summit.
Doc... if you don't want to drive down here, I can pick up the oil(s) for you.
BTW Doc... why are you just changing the diff and not the trans fluid?

I already did the tranny fluid.

If you can pick up a bottle of the diff fluid before we meet on the 16th, I can get it from you then. Thanks.

Otherwise, I don't get down that way much. Might be worth a drive, but it'll cost me a lot more than just $7 shipping I'm afraid, when I start walking the aisles...

Oh no sir, I live on a strict budget and to have my toys I plan out in advance. I am going to take total and see where I can come up with the money before spring.

Edit: I am lucky in my job I can volunteer for on call with my job beyond what I am required to do. That is how I saved up for down payment on the car and will most likely where the money for maint and mods will come from
