Better late than never, right?

This is an approximate map. Mapquest didn't know exactly where the address was, but it gets you in the vicinity. Once you get on A you can't miss it.
The address is:
1500 East Route A
Wentzville, MO 63385

Am planning to run next Sunday at Gateway. Any suggestions for tire pressure? Also, my bro and I will both likely be driving. Do they rent hemets? Do not think my old cycle helmet will meet the standards. Thanks

Starsky1231 they do have loaner helmets they let you use for free. As far as tire pressure I will let Waterlogged field that question.....since he is the expert. They do provide an air machine at Gateway.

That's great news starsky! Chico and I had a good time yesterday at the Corvette Club's autocross. We humbled quite a few high-horsepower Vettes.
As far as tire pressures... I'm assuming you're running the stock Bridgestone or Dunlops. Usually you want to be around 42 psi front and about 40 rear to start your first run to get a feel for how your driving will affect the abuse you'll put on your tires. After that you can potentially go down as far as 38. If you have your own accurate tire gauge that would be a great thing to bring. You will be needing to let a little air out as the tires heat up and you also figure out that sweet spot between your driving style and the limits of adhesion.
I'll help you get it all dialed in on Sunday.

Glad to hear the autox went well yesterday, sorry I couldn't join. I got in a weird situation trying to find a place to live for 2 weeks until my new place is ready.... rather stressful. Anyway I hope to be out sunday at gateway, and maybe see what this car of mine can do.

Yeah I couldn't make it. My friend was in town and we were up till about 3:30am and I don't think I could have made it to the game in time anyway. I will be at the sunday event though. My short shifter is itching to be used to its full potential.

Last week at Wentzville was fun. Even though it was a horsepower course built for vettes. Waterlogged killed some high powered cars and a few cones. I did ok and was the recipient of a generous clock on my last run. Look foward to seeing you guys on Sunday at Gateway. Hopefully we can all run in the same heat. It would be kinda nice to have 4 or 5 RX8's running back to back. Kicking some STI butt!!!

Gotta have the nitrous...don't you guys want to look cool - didn't you see Fast and Furious? I guess you also need a laptop to look at while you're street racing, right?
BTW, I never put my front plate on the whole time I owned the car, and I never got pulled over. I guess its because I'm over 25 and I wear glasses. mayeb the cops figure that a nerd deserve a break? (It's not like I didn't break the speed limit.)

So u were thinkin bout using nitrous at the end of an autocross? Wow & I thought the 360 by the 300Z was nice. How u gonna stop before the parking lot? Waterlogged what time u gonna be at Modena's for the oil change on Saturday? I have to show him my tan. Hey Waterlogged, Fisherdn or Terretsboy any of you game on bet? We can bet on who has the best time for six packs or something. Of course we all get 2 to 4 seconds from Waterlogged to make it fair and Terets and myself will give Fisherdn 2 seconds. Or something......... tell me what you think.

I like the idea of betting that'll make it more fun for those of us who are new and really have little chance of placing i.e. me.
I am hoping to build a new removable sub box so if you can hold out till next weekend we can work on it together.
Anyone have a dremmel? I asked earlier and I don't think anyone said they did. I have a couple of mods that I need that for.

I've got a dremel. Bad news... this coming weekend we're doing a BBQ for my mom's b-day and I doubt I can fit in the oil change on Saturday. So maybe next weekend will be best for all. Plus it'll give chico another week to work on that tan.

Next thing I need to do is change tranny oil to redline, i'm at 30k and the car could use it. Also just put on a voodoo shift ****, just a ball, which i like much more than the pistol grip stocker. Oh and I'll also be doing tires soon, not much of a mod though
And chico - i don't need a 2 second handicap

Now if they only made a lift kit for the RX-8 you'd be set.
