I'm guessing the weather will make people afraid of heading out there. Me, as long as it's not raining on my way there I'm good to go. Otherwise I'll sleep in and wait until the race next weekend.

I still have a little bit of tread on the tires that I need to shave off, so this is the time of year when things get interesting.

Yeah, I'll be watching it as well. Last night's game both sucked and was awesome. Yay cards! Suppan is the man.

Hey everyone how's it going in St. Louis!? Dayton is boring and dreary as always and I'm slugging through school work and interviews for jobs during the school year.

There is a slim chance I may be back in town next weekend but it all depends on this paper that is due on monday and is 100% of my grade for a class. Let me know if you have anything planned!

Thought I'd plan on welcoming you back to town. Hope to see you in the StL area. Good luck on that paper.

Hey terrets... hurry up and get that paper done so you can swing into town this weekend. The final autocross of the season is Sunday, otherwise we can meet up for a beer afterwards. I had to miss the race yesterday (first one this year). I woke up to head out and realized my chronic neck spasms had returned. I popped a vicoden and went back to bed. At least I woke up in time to see the Cardinals get spanked by Kenny Rogers. I mean, really... we almost had a one-hitter with a guy who once used to bang Dolly Parton (merely speculation)!

I noticed a call from Chico yesterday. Did you end up making it to the race? Did anyone else go?

I did go.........however I did not race. I took Teresa (the model) with me. Don't ask I know Angie would be shocked. I got there and they really swithed things around. The booths, timer and everything was by the entrance area. All the vehicles were parked behind the gate near the race track. I only saw 2 black RX8's - Bakers and one other I did not recognize. I called Fisher he had a hangover.......No suprise!! Just kidding. (Fish hope it was worth it). So I was solo. Nice track though seemed very very fast. I will be there for the final autocross this Sunday. So I hope there will be a HUGE turn out. And of course since Terets is gracing us with his presents (and getting a B+ instead of an A because he rushed his paper) we will definitley go out for a beer or....... What do attorneys drink? Hopefully those two guys from IL will show up. (Snowboarder and Baseballgenius).

We will see if I can make it back from a Halloween party I am going to Saturday night in Arnold, MO early enough...could be a late one. And who knows, if the Cards happen to win the series, and that final win just happens to be Saturday night...I'm sure Sunday will become a recovery day.

Paper is not going well. Doesn't look like I'll be able to make it in to St. Louis for the weekend. I have to keep working so I can get that impossible 3.5 GPA that Phil committed me to. I hate law school.

Some good news though, I got a job here in Dayton for the school year (http://www.hnb-law.com/). Pays pretty well so I can buy mods for the 8 and other stuff.

Water, you started working towards that turbo/supercharger yet or are you all talk?

So far it's all talk on the supercharger as Mazda has increased our warranty to 60,000 miles. As it stands now I think I'll be joining you B-stockers next season.

Also, Chico... I JUST NOW got your message from Sunday. I'm a f'ing jerk aren't I? I would've loved to mix a beer w/ the muscle relaxers with you at BWW. Maybe this Sunday.

bbg... I'm w/ you as using Sunday as a day of recovery after the Saturday night festivities, but I just can't miss the last autocross of the season. I'll be there as long as it's not pouring down rain before I leave the house that morning. I definitely don't want to get stuck working the course in another downpour, especially one in October! Plus the time "Falls back" on Sunday so we'll get an extra hour of sleep to boot.

I'd like to give a Stay Hot to Joel Zumaya for providing the Cardinals with a few insurance runs. Thanks Joel!

That's ok Waterlogged. Maybe we can meet at buffalo wild wings after the autocross on Sunday for a few beers. I too plan to be there unless it's raining. You guys watching the game anywhere special this weekend? I was looking at the Mazdaspeed brakes and spoiler. Might have to make those my next upgrades. Have you guys heard anything about the brakes? Besides being slightly larger and giving additional stopping power. Also the next garage day/get together I want to paint my calipers!! Anyone up for an artistic venture?

I'm really wanting to paint my calipers too. But when doing so, that puts the car out of commission for about 24 hours, at least. You have to leave your wheels off that long for the paint to dry. We could always take a hair dryer to them I guess, just be careful the paint doesn't bubble.

It's brrrrr cold and damp, too. That's a Spring project for me. I don't see much daylight in the winter anyway, so painting the calipers will be a waste for me at this point in the year.

The way I want to do it will take a little longer due to the number of coats needed. This isn't an original idea and I really need to look it up to get the exact method... but essentially you can paint a logo onto your calipers using a sticker as a mask.

Why not...maybe yellow on the ends of the calipers and black in the middle. Keep the theme going.

you should do yellow with a stripe of black going horizontal (just about the width of a highlighter head) along the curvature of the calipers.

The best way to do it would be to paint three or four coats of yellow then mask off the part you want to keep yelloe then paint in the black. That way the yellow ould be vivid. If you did it the other way th e yellow might get dulled a little by the black paint underneath.

I'm thinking about putting a couple more coats on my calipers to make them a more vivid red.

I don't know about strips on the calipers..........I was thinking bright yellow with RX8 in black. Or vice / versa.

What color should I do mine? Is the question.............Black Cherry, maybe a shinka written in the middle, or britht red I am thinking.

Waterlogged can do a custom paint job on his calipers....maybe to look like a swimming pool in the sunlight.

Your idea is better chico. I think that black calipers w/ yellow rx-8 logo on it would really "pop".

I would shy away from red with your cherry paint job. Maybe a silver or a black would go well with the darker theme of the cherry paint. I think black might look the best with the chrome rims. I'd have to see you car again for an educated opinion.

Still working on the paper, I'll probably need every second of this weekend to finish it and do well. It's driving me crazy. DerbyDame and I are in the library typing away contemplating a suicide pact.
