Nice. Hopefully, you can join so I can see what you added. Me on the other hand, I have placed all modding to the 8 on hold. So nothing new for me.
As for the time I will set it for 6pm. I will be there about 5:30-45"
I think we are meeting at 6:00.
I was hoping we could get in some garage time, I need to change my oil but I don't have the jack stands or anything like that. Anyone up for it? If not I'll just go to jiffy lube.

You don't need jack stands for an oil change. Use the jack in the truck to jack up the right side just a bit. That'll let you get under the front far enough to loosen the oil pan nut to drain it. You can remove the filter by hand.
I think I'll just try the jack. I need to hit up autozone and get some oil, funnel and an oil pan tonight. Where is the jack? I don't have the spare tire kit will I still have a jack?
I don't have a spare tire kit but have a jack. Its in the front of the trunk space (closest to where you stand when opening the trunk). Open the black plastic trim piece in the bottom corner. Inside is a jack and a metal piece to help you crank the jack. I also had extra lugs there and the lock to my lugs. I put the jack behind the passenger front tire and jack it up just a bit. Enough to get under the front. I might be around saturday if you wanna do it since I live so close to you. I just changed mine last weekend.
I'm heading out to test and tune night at Gateway, just for the heck of it. I thought I'd put a note here and see if any 8 owners want to hang out. I'll bring a cooler full of beer that you can mooch from
Haven't heard from anyone in a while. Fisher, I think I will be available this saturday to change the oil. I'll give you a call when we get a little closer. Anyone else who needs to do it is welcome as well.
Just so you all know, I stopped by Grand Prix Speedways today (new go-kart track in Earth City). They are open to the public starting tomorrow at 4:30-midnight I think. You all should check this place out.
If anyone wants to go to the speedway track to race go carts......let me know. I work next door and I know the General Manager. Might be able to get a discount. Hey Terets what time Saturday?
I'm not exactly sure what time on saturday. Lets just say 11. If anything changes from that I'll give you guys a call. Fisher reply to this thread so I know that you got the time. Hopefully it'll be a quick change because I want to try to get my strut tower bar on next.
I"VE BEEN WAITING FOR THAT PLACE TO OPEN UP!!!! I say we all do that! I heard the carts were just insanely fast!! What do you all say. I just might go up there reguardless of any others desicions!

Is it possible? I thought that was too difficult without some major tools which I don't have. I assume this because the guy selling them is getting them removed at a shop.
Could you bring your oil pan and anything else we might need? I'm assuming that we can get the filter and oil from autozone.

the oil pan and funnel i use is at my parent's house. I could try to get it, the problem is that they live in ballwin. I might be able to... Yeah autozone will take care of the rest. they have pans and funnels too. We will need an old jug (milk jug, antifreeze jug, etc) to put the old oil in too. Try to get the install directions for the pulleys. I've never done them, but getting the directions is the first step in determining the necessary tools. We might need Bill for that one i don't know
check out our meet on Aug. 10th.
Hey, Terets pm me with directions for the oil change and other mods. If not Fisher has my number. As far as the go-carts the parking lot looks empty..... I will go over there and check it out - but not a good day for me to race. I will post what I find out.
FYI............OK guys checked out Grand Prix speedways. It looks like a blast. You have to take a saftey course first. They have three classes of go carts. one that goes up to 45 mph, 75 mph, and 110mph. Even though you will never see those speeds inside on either of the two tracks available. Both tracks are the same length and have a lot of turns. Day licenses are 12.95 and annual licenses are 24.95. In addition it costs 24.95 per race. You get 2 warm up laps then 8 laps to race. We can reserve as the St Louis RX8 club and all race at the same time. By the way you do have to have a valid drivers lic. The GM was not available for me to talk to.
