Are we shooting for 8-8:30?

 

Put me down as a maybe, I'll be back in Cincy next weekend. So long as I don't have too much going on for school the next weekend I'll be able to make the shoot.

 

Alright ladies and gentlemen.

Talked to Longworth Hall today. We are clear to use the lot. She asked that we don't behave like ******** and to please stay out of the way of tenants.

I've also rented a couple lenses for myself

sometime between 8 and 8:30 works for me. Lets plan on that then. If you need directions or don't know where it is, let me know. If you want to stop and get coffee before hand feel free.

 

Kevin, thanks for taking the time to check into things for us. Put me down as tentative only because I don't know for sure what my wife might have planned for me. I won't be getting home until sometime Sunday now, but I should know for sure by the first of next week.

 

Shoot me directions if you don't mind.

 

Thanks for checking with them. I guess we can't do 8500K launches then.

I'll bring my entire kit and maybe a couple flashes just to fill. I might need some human tripods to hold the flashes so please, don't get all over-caffeinated before the shoot.

I don't want to venture what the weather will be this far out, but if we had the shoot in CA, we'd be worried more about dust storms than rain.

 

I've got a decent tripod I can bring if I come.

You can get into the lot from Pete Rose Way on the east of the building and Gest St. on the west of the building. The murals and stuff are all on the east side of the lot. You really can't miss it.

The Canadian transmission sounds funny I think, an accent maybe? It has a high pitch whine to it that reminds me of a turbo...makes my car sound faster, lol.

I'll have to look at Kroger for one of those when I get home. Although I already got the wife the AutoArt one, the parts guy at Kerry just gave it to me one time when I was in there. Sometimes it pays to chat people up.

every meet is always on saturdays a day that i work. but since you guys will be close to downtown you should stop by kentucky, newport actually at the advanced auto parts up there after the shoot. I will be working and since i am the assistant manager how about some super discounts? i say so.

 

I am back in Cincy! Got in on Sunday afternoon. I really missed this town..no lie.

What you need to do is tell the manager you know of a place with a gathering of car folks just across the river where you can drum up some business. Mention you'll bring back some coffee. Worst he can do is say no.

 

You got back just in time. I'm in the SoCal desert and rain is 360 degrees around us, all the way out to AZ/NM. It should rain here tonight and tomorrow's high is probably 70, but I'm headed to the Inland Empire where it's in the 50's. Snow level is at 7000'.

Still, I'll take the low humidity here any day. It was a whopping 8% on Saturday, but it was 103 out. Still, it wasn't too bad.

I'm headed back on Friday. It'll probably be raining when I land at CVG. It always happens.


BTW, I got a silver S1metal model (no S2) at Kroger's Landen. I think I got mine on sale for about 3 bucks a few month's back. Maybe I can mod it to look like an S2 with some Bondo. Hah!

 

I guess I need to stop by that Kroger's when I'm home. I'd like to get my hands on the SS 8 to match.

 

Too bad they dont have the white 8. Best color out there! Hahahaha

 

Ever since I bought my z28 I love white cars...real white anyways, not that cream or off-white crap.

Silver was never my first choice in color, but it's not that bad either.

I got the same RX-8 Toy Car at kroger couple months ago as well..
unfortunately I only could find silver (mine 8 is TiGray), so planning on some painting some day..

I'll see you all once I get back around halloween time..

 

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome backs! I love it here. I guess it takes a few years away to really appreciate what Cincy has to offer and all the green is so much better than all the poopy brown that is out there. I won't be able to male it to Fuel tomorrow, I have a job meeting at 10am. But I will be at the photoshoot though.

 

I'm ashore! Flying out tomorrow morning, will be home around midnight. See you guys next weekend (unless the rug gets yanked out from under me).

 

Looks like Senna may be stalled out. No show times as of yet and it looks like it's on the coming soon list for the Esquire now. I have no idea when or if it will be playing now.
