i don't think it will be a problem.

None of the parks are really great for car shots except for maybe a couple places around Eden, or around the circle at Ault.

Mt. Adams is a bitch to just get shots of one car, there isn't anywhere there where we can get 3,4,5, however many cars we have together.

If the lot is set up for tailgating, i know of some other places around town. We can take advantage of some parking garages and alley ways if we have to. There are plenty of places to shoot. I don't think the game will be an issue though.



edit: just did some snooping and it looks like most of the parking/tailgaiting will be in lot A and the big 3rd and Central lot. We should be clear. Like I said, they didn't mention anything when i called to get permision.

 

On another note, Senna is finally being released.

Not sure when i'll be going, but i'll be going.

 

I keep forgetting, I have two half-cases of Castrol Edge 10w30 that we got from Mid-Ohio. I'm not going to use it as I don't use that weight/full synthetic. If anyone wants it let me know, I'll take some Cokes at Fuel as payment.

I'm going to try and make a viewing of Senna on Friday, depending upon any previous commitments from my social director.

 

^ I'm not sure when i'll be heading to the theater. I'll probably be cleaning the car up friday night so i don't have to do it at 6 in the morning saturday. We'll see what my social director wants


As for the oil. I'm still waiting on my email so i can get what i want.

 

I just saw something over on 247 saying the oil folks are slow, and it will probably be around the first of November before you guys get any acknowledgement they have what you want.

I just have to say, it's good that we both know our place (vis a vis our social directors)!

I just got back for a cigar tasting, so that was my allotted "Guy time" of the week for sure. We have a busy weekend ahead of us with the shoot, an old friend's party, and getting started on the move. It's probably best that i have a social director, I'd never get anything done in her eyes without.

Ault Park would be an awesome thought, it won't be the crowded there. I know Eden Park will be on a saturday morning.

 

I still agree the Mazdax3 that 8 in a nature setting isn't really ideal. It can be done and look good, but with one car. A bunch of modern cars with a nature backdrop doesn't really do it for me. Urban settings are much more fitting.

I agree. Unless you get the park police to block off stuff, you have lots of people traffic around Ault. Let me think of a plan B. I doubt that UC/UL will sell out PBS. Well, they might on second thought. It's not the Bungles.

Garages are tricky since the fluorescent/other light types are a bitch to deal with. If you mix flash + ambient + artificial light the white balance is all over the place and if we do a group shot, it's too much to handle with less than a handful of small flashes. I prefer natural light if possible.

 

Just another FYI. If you have a camera and have a polarizer, bring it. It gets most of the nasty reflections out of the glass. I shot this by chance up around Ceasar's Creek when I up there shooting some nature stuff. Not the proper venue but the car was clean.



I miss my Spd6 a little. Can't beat the torque but it understeered a bunch.

 

I plan on getting them this weekend.
