Black Cherry Mica is the same color as my Speed6. It's a wonderful shade, changes colors depending upon the light conditions. My wife has gotten many compliments on the car while she is driving (I never do, I guess I look scary!).

~Test Fitting
1. as the picture shows, use the Center Brake Lamp as a guide, and use the CF Side Stopper, to test fit the wing, and find the mounting location.

~Installation
1. once set the mounting location, remove the double sided tape film and install the wing. at the same time install the CF Side Stopper shown in the picture below
2. the picture to the right is larger view of the Side Stopper. using the 4mm special bolts to secure the stopper at the three points.

*Depending on the individual car, you may experience a minor fitment issue.

let me know if you want to know the paper on the right as well.
the one on the right is just a general warnings etc. such as do not drop the product, make sure you tighten the product...

probably the one important thing is about the pairing instruction.
it says that the product uses wax when they make it, so before the paint, make sure remove all the oil, and then wet sand the surface using 600 grid sanding paper. also use of the primer (they called surfacer, but and i assume it's primer, but don't really know for sure... check with body shop...)

Here's a quick snap shot of my car with the new shoes.
Enkei RC-T4 18x9 +35. Got these for a steal, basically traded my spare stockers for them
They're a bit stretched since they are 225/45's on them right now, but honestly, it does not look bad. (Tires were ones I had for the summer with lots of tread left)
May go 235 or 245's when I buy new tires, but for now I think it looks good/I don't see many Rx-8's with these wheels. I like trying to be different lol
I am also lowered on R3 Bilstein shocks and Megan Lowering Springs (Yes I know Megan aren't the best, but I thought for the cheap price, it was a good substitute until I can purchase coil overs)

go 245 at least. I run 245's on an 18x9 and they're not quite square. A 265 will be nicely squared off, but will most likely look like too much tire.

looks good though. The wheels are a little flat, but not bad at all.

 

fuztupnz: Yea, the wheels originally came with Hoosier slicks 255/35's (Which I'm selling locally for $450 OBO if anyone is interested lol). It seemed a bit too tire on the wheels so I will either go 235 or 245.

But to be honest, I'm not sure if its the Bilstein's that give me a stiffer ride of the springs or maybe even both.
I can tell you I feel a bit more confident going into corners after the setup than before, and that's with broken rear endlinks (that I had to cut off to install the suspension, will get new ones soon).
As for the look, I'm thinking MAYBE some 10mm spacers in the rear and 5mm spacers in the front if I find any. But that will probably be after I purchase new tires with a wider spec.

 

Ah lol yea that makes sense. Unfortunately I don't think I've seen your 8 and I notice most of them, even at night with just fog and head light shapes lol
And yea, that's one of the reasons why I'm hesitant. From what I read its a long procedure to replace studs.

 

I wouldn't run 5mm without extended studs. I guess I should have worded it better. My apologies.

I'm still trying to figure out if I switch out stock 18's for something else what do I want?. Always fun on Tirerack.com trying out different combos. I'm thinking a darker rim though to give some contrast to the Liquid Silver. I want to drop it an inch with coilovers.

I had the 8 out at lunch today on the backroads of Maineville/Morrow/Butlerville with the all-seasons on. They're 245/40's but the progression from understeer to snap oversteer is kind of scary. I've been varying the air pressure and haven't found a good combo yet. TCS is kicking in a lot earlier than with the stock RE050's. How many months of winter do we have? Maybe if global warming happens soon I won't have to swap tires

 

what kind of Hoosiers and how much life is still left in them? pics would be much appreciated.

I'm wondering if anyone's interested in some cart racing event here. I've done only once, and nothing even close to be good, but it was a lot of fun.

 

they are not for me. as far as karting goes i race at Full Throttle a lot. when they do another enduro ill let you know. always looking for a good team.

All that i read in that whole thing. I agree, being straight and never having been in jail, i can only imagine that it's not fun. I don't want to find out either.

 

Now that i got that out of my system, Pilot Sports are nice, but expensive as hell. Next time you're at fuel, ask Jason what he thinks of them. That's what he has on his GT3 atm.

 

 

Hey folks, I just got my color swatches from Redline Goods (they make leather shift boots etc). So if anyone was thinking about getting something from them but not sure of the color you can take a look at these. I can bring them to Fuel or we could work something else out. I have one of their shift boots and e-brake cover in the Speed, they are high quality and reasonably priced.
