HOLY CRAP!!! I am going to be out driving all damn day, this is the first day I have seen the sun in about a month.....haha

 

Sounds good Steve. But it depends on the time. I have a tee time around noon, not sure what exact time tho. Satuday I'll be at Target World to pick an XD and stop at their range to play around. Then I have scramble match after that. Pick a time and see who else would come. Hopefully I can make it. I would like to take a ride in your 8 just to feel the power difference.

Did you see the All Mazda meed in Chicago post in the MW forum? I guess its too late to plan a caravan to that.

Maybe we can all get together one weekend and go out play a round, assuming if everyone likes to play golf.

 

The weather was so great today… I took the car on the back roads and it was just great…..
The next big event I would like us to get organized for is the one in Indianapolis!
We have the Indyrx8club meet on Saturday 4-19-08
Then
We have the all Mazda meet on Sunday 4-20-08
I am thinking on taking the weekend off from the office and get me room @ indy for that weekend
I know this Sunday is kind of a short notice so it is cool
But we should definitely have a local meet soon

Apparently a bunch of people is meeting up at one of the parking lots at NKU this Friday from 8pm to 10pm for a meet.. I will be at work till 9 so I might drive by around 9:30 if anyone wants to stop by let me know…

rx8s meeting at NKU? Or just people with all different kinds of rides. I work 2nd shift 3-midnight but it has been slow here lately. I could come go on my break.

It is all sorts of cars, we sometimes just chill in the garage till around midnight. Or sometimes we will go cruise and then hit up a bar or just make a badass appearance down at the levee. I am useally the only 8 at these meets they are my friends I went to high school with or some of dudes with badass cars...it just depends on the weather and who has to work...

 

By the way I agree this thread has died a little bit...but anyway what are thoughts on an afternoon meet up on Saturday we could all meet up hang out and then maybe hit up an applebees or something, I have the car all cleaned up and it has been awhile since I have met up with anyone.....just post.

I did my mpg and I was rollin around 17-20 depending when I laid on it and when I was just cruising, its not the greatest gas mileage but it is a fun car to drive and it is worth every penny towards gas. The miata wouldn't be outta place bro us mazda's stick together and besides the 8's chassy is based off of the miata's so its all good....haha

I read somewhere that might be incorrect, I thought the rx8 chassis is 100% unique to the rx8....

You might be correct but last I read they were similar in design maybe not exact but close enough...lol..we meet in the parking garage by the rec center...I will post more details if the weather permits....we really haven't had a big meet...

 

you are right I am very confident the rx8 chassis is original to the rx8, Mazda made the RX-8 have a stiffer chassis than the RX-7, and Lotus-like high transmission tunnel if I am not mistaken

 

I got a turbo 8 if you want to buy it! just kidding... hells no, I am selling this car...

seems like there will be many other cars.. I have never gone to one in NKU but I will go if other RX8s go

Not sure if I will be able to make it friday. Gotta work till about 1030 and I work from 10-6 on sat. So I doubt I will be there to any of these things..

 

Just letting everyone know, I will be at NKU tonite reping the 8's so if anyone wants to stop by pm me and I will meet you somewhere to head up there. I will be checking my messages every hour or so.....

even if it is almost over by the time you leave work we can still have a mini rx8 meet since SRrx will be there too and then head over to bar louie @ newport or barleycorns by NKU for some food & drinks
