Hey guys. We are doing a Dyno Day in Cinci / NKY area at TD Performance.

See the link below for details.

https://www.rx8club.com/mw-rx-8-forum-31/cincinnati-nky-dyno-day-146467/

If you haven't decided, join us. We need 3 more people to ensure the great rate of 65 per car. Even if your car is stock. Test it.

I will be taking pictures and videos to post on the site.

We are meeting at 9am.

Look forward to seeing you there.

Here!

I just got my car back yesterday. New engine installed. I do not know how much improvement it is but I will update as soon as I finish the break in period. Also, I installed a new ACT Clutch and lightweight flywheel. The clutch engages much quicker withtout any noticable increase in pedal effort. I can't tell you about the flywheel because I am keeping the RPM under 4k

Another bonus is my tires are coming this week. I already got two of them. I expect to get the rest of them by end of week. I decided to go with the 275/35 Falken 615. Boy do they look mean! I plan to get them installed on Saturday at the place where we did the mini Dyno day.

I will post pics as soon as they are installed.

After that, I am ready for a drive (after 600 miles of break in) Anyone got any ideas? How about you Steve.

Paul,

How does the new engine feel? I took my car in and they just decarboned the engine and it feels a little different. I want to dyno my car now see if that increased my horsepower at all. I definitley miss my Ignition Solution!

What wheels are you getting for the car?

So who is down for a meet in a few weeks?

It's hard to tell how the engine feels so far. I have kept the RPM under 4k. That is hard. I can tell you the motor spins much faster. You barely tap on the gas and it spins so freely. I already have 100 miles on the new motor. 500 to go.

The wheels I got was the Enkei RP-F1 18" x 9.5" The tires are 275/35 R18 Falken Azenis RT615.

Attached are some pictures.

I am planning to go to R-Style Perfomance on Saturday to have them mounted balanced. Contact me if you want to go down there and re-Dyno your car.

I am trying to get there in the morning. I would contact them to make sure they can run the Dyno. The kid runs it.

The only problem I have right now is the little fact that i am having probelms fitting all the wheels and tires in the car. As it is, I will have to remove the tires from the boxes.

You woudn't by chance live near me? My zip is 45011

Who did the work? Did they give you the latest flash? Did they check the compression? And if so, what was it. I was thinking that if they did not, you may need to reset your ECU to compensate for the removal of the ignition system. Does that sound too far off base?

I can contact Chris tomorow to see if Dyno time is available. If you want to call them yourself the number is 513-965-0037.

Kings Mazda did the work. I was able to get the latest reflash and they did all the tests on my engine. Cat, compression checked out fine. Somehow I had alot of carbon build up. I drive my car hard and redline it every day if not twice a day. So they put stuff in there to de carbon the engine. I would they they reset my ECU when they put the latest flash in.

Let me know what Chris has to say..

So 1030 sounds good for sat?

Steve,

Once again I need your help. Let me know when you can give me a hand to help reinstall the Solution into my car. I miss the thing bad! Also, are you coming sat to watch the dyno?

The 15th sounds great! Spread the word.

Also Steve, the girl and I want to hangout with you and your wifey one weekend coming up. Maybe dinner and go to the horse track at Riverdowns?

10:30 sounds great. I live across from Bridgewater Falls.

Chris said standard rate was $65 for three pulls. His son will be there to do the Dyno. Can't wait.

psonda, nice choice on the rims and tires. Kinda looks like the setup from Goodwin. Your car ought to look pretty sick with this setup (let me know if you get any rubbing). Also how much has it been lowered? Just want to see if this setup works with a lowered suspension. Thanks. BBRX8
P.S. wouldn't mind meeting some of you sometime (never been to a meet)

I am putting together an article for a magazine called the Zero Weight Project. The main reason I chose the rims is the weight factor. I did not realize it but I did chose the same tires as Goodwin. It was the tires my tire guy recommended. It was between this and the Kumhos. Kumho is coming with a new high performance tire in July. I may switch to that one. We will see. Anyway, the real challenge for me is fitting the rims and tires in the car to take to R-Style Performance. If you have time, come over. It would be nice to meet other RX8 Enthusiasts.
