That, my friend, is the $64,000 question. I am over my three months, they decided to send a new guy to relieve me who requires about a month-long handover, and he's not on board yet. Doing the math, you can see my chances of getting home for Christmas. It will all depend upon how quickly the guy feels comfortable with the job, as long as we both agree then I can leave. Only problem then is where I can get off (really don't want to fly out of Nigeria).

Just logged onto the mazda247 forum for the first time in about a year. They get NO love from rx8 owners. lol. So, my 8 is getting a little bit of a transformation... I've begun widening the rear fenders by 1.5 inches. Then ready for repaint. This is by far the craziest thing I've ever done. I should be painting the Shine bumper Fuz gave me in the next month or so. Lets just say, you'd never know it was a Shine. Pics to come when she's all painted. I'll post the progress pics all at once.

You have to know that 247 began as MSProtege.com. The only reason they expanded into other Mazda models is the owner is greedy and saw it all as a way to expand his empire. However you aren't supposed to send people off to other forums specific to their model. I constantly see folks with Miata and other models asking questions that never get answered. I hang out there for the people I know, but I go to specialty forums if I want info on one of my cars.

 

Yea, you're the only person I recognized when coming over here. I used to have a MS Protege, so I used the sight frequently in the past. I've had way more free time than usual with the Holiday and thought I'd stroll over and see if I had any PM's or anything. I guess I should have been in the garage welding on my fenders

Just thought I'd check in here and say hello. I've been...busy to say the least.
After the uhh...electrical problems were sorted out, after four long months of it sitting in a south lebanon apt complex parking lot, it's been on the road for twoish months. It won't hold vacuum, and it now has no front bumper thanks to a low speed bump into the *** end of my room mates R53, it was still hanging on for a few weeks after that, but then I sortof, drifted it off.

Anyway, I've got a KBD Replica on it's way here Via Greyhound, unfortunately, that still means I need to get it painted andddddd mounted. Though, from what I've seen they fit pretty well for a knock off.
Anyone have any side markers and mounting brackets for an OEM Front Bumper? :D

How is everyone doing? Been quite busy the last month with class and school, I thought I would swing by and see how things are. A few new things have happened in the last week:

I unfortunately have to go see a neurosurgeon on Thursday. I have 3 herniated discs in my back and the crash has increased the pain by 10 times. So thats gonna be a wonderful time.

The insurance company took the car and paid me a settlement. I paid $12,500 for the car when I got it and somehow the insurance company valued it at $17,000. Which means I made money totaling my car? Other than that I have yet to find a car which is really starting to **** me off.

I have a lead on an IS300. Performance Lexus got in on a trade this past Friday. I'm test driving it tomorrow. The only shitty thing about it is that it is an automatic There is nothing good around here that is around $14,000 with decent miles (under 75,000) in a manual that my parents will approve of me driving because they like to have control over everything.... So its been difficult to find something.

I should be at Fuel if the weather isn't too shitty Saturday since I've missed the past two weeks.

 

Damn Bobby, made out well but the neuro isn't good. Been there, done that. Avoid cutting into you if you can.
