Costs remains at about $200 per person. We can accommodate 8-10, perhaps a few more so lets get as many to commit to this date as we can so that we still have enough participating to help offset those who find they can't make it at the last minute.

We will be the only cars on the track so we don't have to worry about a ton of other people getting in the way.
I AM IN!!!! I can hardly wait!!!!

Now I have a question for either Kewl or Ocho. This afternoon on the way home from work the CHECK ENGINE light came on! It has not gone back off since. The car is running normaly now, but when the light came on I was headed south on 25 just south of Rio Bravo. About 85 mph and the car lost all power was sputtering like there was not enough gas feed or such. It took a few moments for it to clear up but by the time I topped out on the next hill south of Bobby Foster overpass the sputtering was gone. Whats Up?? If either of you are available here in the next couple of days & if you dont mind I sure would be appreciated if I could get with you and use your scan gauge to see what code is comming up so I can get the car fixed before the track day! Thanks in advance!

Don't forget to check out the "Albuquerque Track Day" forum - https://www.rx8club.com/mountain-forum-46/albuquerque-track-day-111946/. It has updated information on the upcoming day at the Sandia Speedway...just for RX8s.

So my weekend sucked. I drove up to the peak yesterday (or as close as a friend and I could get) and then turned around and headed for lunch. There was a rockslide and an unavoidable triangular rock that ripped up my undercarriage. So far, new radiator is needed, but could not tell the extent of the damage.

Its at Garcia Mazda waiting until Monday to be looked at.. Poor car. Hope damage does not exceed too much.

Good luck at track day.

I just saw this on the Racing Southwest Web site! It was posted on 3/17/07/ The first event is just in time to us as a mini warm up for the track day !

There are some changes to the times and evenings in which these auto cross events will occur, so please read below!

What is this all about?
Hope Evangelical Free Church sponsors an auto cross circuit in their parking lot once a month in an effort to get kids off the streets and into some sort of organized racing. Please bear in mind, if you do go to these events, you are on what many consider "holy" ground, as it *is* a Church parking lot, so please respect it, even if you are not into religion / of the faith ... just as a courtesy as they are allowing ANYONE to show up to these events in any vehicle.

The track will change, so you will not be racing the same course every time.

Where
Hope Evangelical Free Church
4710 Juan Tabo Blvd NE
Albuquerque, NM 87111-2629, US

Mapquest image of where the church is located
(Around a half mile north of Montgomery Blvd. on Juan Tabo)

When
Track setup begins at 5:00 PM.
Racing goes from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM.

Helping out with setup
The more, the merrier when it comes to setting up. If you’ve got some free time, even if you don’t go out to race, try to help out with this. Everyone that sets up is volunteering their time so that everyone can participate!

Schedule of Events
The HEFC Autocross events will occur on the THIRD Saturday of the month. There will NOT be an event in July.

Saturday, April 21
Saturday, May 19
Saturday, June 16
Saturday, July 21 – CANCELLED –
Saturday, August 18
Saturday, September 15
Saturday, October 20

Everything is always subject to change. I will do my best to keep this up to date ASAP if anything changes.

Zeblien

Sorry about the rock.... ouch... Well in the future if it is for non warranty work take it to the rotaryrx team off of Second Street. Much cheaper for repairs than dealer.

That's what OT is for... you have Auto Tran so hope it didn't damage it as well...

Oh finally getting my rotors by ends week... well believe it when I see it.. Also my mid pipe is on its way as well.. So I will have new rotors, brakes and exhaust on soon. Waiting for racing beat to come out with their header so can have full 3 inch exhaust system. Next upgrade will be under driven pulleys, and then racing beat suspension.

Total DMG

Oil Pan
Radiator
Plastic parts
~$1500

They did not say anything about the transmission being affected though... what should I ask to make sure they checked it?

Will note RotaryRX for..... next time(?)
Dang.. this has been a horrible week.

As far as I know, and this information comes solely from this forum, you are the only turbo in the state.

Now if there are others, someone needs to make sure they come out on the track day!

The more the merrier in Rio Rancho. Bring up the 45nm and all that hits the press is the scale down in fab 11. (?)
