Would anyone here in Albuquerque happen to have a pair of the factory Bridgestone Potenzas that they would like to sell. I have two that are going bald.

I have four....used, but not completely. I took them off early so I could put on tires that likes snow. At the time I think they had 18,000 miles on them. You are welcome to all four for just the cost of picking them up.

Is there anyone any of you know that might like to discuss this with me in the interest of finding the 8 a good home?

SAY IT AINT SO KEWL!!! I sure really do hope that this was a moment of insanity!
If it is not can you elbortate on what you may be asking for the 8?

Update,

My 8 should be in the grave and buried by end of the week and I will be moving on to a vette. Maybe I can convert some of you to the vette side ..... had to pull her plate today and it was very sad to see such a great car go to the chop block. I was going to buy the car and part it out, but just don't want to deal with all of that. Well keep you all posted.

Kewl some nice auto Vette's out there and better MPG than the 8.

stinger...I think given the low mileage - 35K - and the excellent condition - care given - of the car, to say nothing about the 19mpg in town driving it has been giving me since day one, I would be open to discuss the Kelly Blue Book values. Somewhere between the trade-in value - 17.5 and the private party value 20.0.

So, looks like there has been a few updates since I last posted.
Finally got Internet again...

Stinger. Saw you!. Will be moving outside the gate to Research Park next month to support everyone moving there.

My car did something strange though. I used to get a steady 18mpg (driving 80% hy, and not conservative) for the first year of ownership. Now I am driving 60% city and getting 20.5mpg.

Sorry to see you sell your 8 Kewl. Will keep my ears open.

Are you moving to that big building that they are just finishing right off Eubank? I have been watching that thing for like a year now, and all of the sudden there has been crazy activity... What is it going to be?

From what I understand BigAAA it is supposed to be a support building for Sandia. From what I have been told it is going to house all the SNL fire protection group, the bedging office for SNL, some of the building engineers & architects as well as some other stuff. The main & only reason I know this much is I work construction @ SNL & I have to deal with those entities. Have you by chance checked out the thread about the rotarty meet on the 23 of June?

That large building (not synergy, but... doah) will hold a group I support, Procurement.

Ya, I have been waiting for that building to be finished (it has gone trough a few contracts) because it means I move out there.

Ya! No more gates. And I will sit in Synergy.

ok, cool.
Stinger, I am hoping to be there, but I don't know if I'll be able to make it. I live like a block away, so if I have any time at all, I will be there...

I don't know who that is, but I'm thinking that race won't happen if the 8 owner reads about that SVO.

I haven't seen many Black RX-8's especially any with mods or even different rims for that note. MD I totally agree, based on the SVO input... um... RX-8 not going to touch it. Well here is my new car.. so if I give ya a wave you will know who it is....

Try to make it out to the next auto X or one of them soon.. Not going to race, as it is going to take me some time to get use to the big girl ... I will miss the drives with you all and the old RX-OCHO plate has been retired...

Well after another few weeks of driving.... my MPG average climbed from 18 solid, to 20.5 for no reason I can tell.

Going on a trip today 200 miles... will find out my HW MPG.

Hey Justin, nice new ride....I even like the color. I think you have earned the right to ride with us if you like....provided you don't show us up with that new mean machine of yours.

Justin,
She sure is a beauty!
I agree with Kewl, you can still ride with us anytime you want. I'm sure you will find a local vette group to hang with but you (and your new wheels) are welcome among us anytime. In fact, I would bet that most of us wouldn't mind a turn behind the wheel of that yellow beast. If, for no other reason, to reinforce the fact that no other car compares to the 8......LOL!
Enjoy!

I dunno - an American made car?

Joking man, you better still show up. Church Auto-X is this weekend at a different Church. I can't go as I'm going to Ruidoso to see my folks, but wish I would be there. My understanding is this new Church has a much bigger parking lot and might be a better course...

Anyway, congrats on the ride and hope you don't disappear....

Anyway.. I have my factory CAT and intake parts (Minus one screen) if anyone is interested in buying them.

Chow justin....

I haven't seen a post to this effect yet, but maybe I missed it....

KEWL'S RX8 IS SITTING IN FRONT OF THE LEXUS DEALER! HE TRADED IT!!

I knew he was thinking about getting rid of it, but I didn't know he had pulled the trigger already.

It's true....please forgive me. Perhaps I will look at getting the 8 again in 09.

I do have some leftovers...if anyone is interested in or could use some of them. Things like OEM intake, windshield sunshade, manuals...maintenance type..

I shall continue to follow the board and see about attending some of the autox...and if there are enough folks who want to try another track day in October I will be glad to work the logistics of that for you.
