Just got mine... thanks Jeff.
And FYI to everyone else... when I went to my direct download link I didn't see my latest map.
I actually had to refresh the browsers (F5) in order for it to pop-up.
So if your latest map doesn't show up, refresh it like Jeff stated earlier.

Hey Jeff, do you turn off the P0335 code? When I go back and forth between your tune and my dyno tune, the CEL is on when its my tune, but its not on your tune. Just wondering why this would happen?

The only real arguments for using an Apple product these days are one of the following:

1) You work in an industry dominated by Macs (AV) and you have no interest in the tools really and just need to fit in.
2) You only use your computer for the absolute most basic things and have absolutely no computer aptitude - in fact, computers frighten you.
3) You wear a mock turtle neck and sip double espressos with your pinky out at "Seattle's Best" as you cruise the internet for Craig's List ads for slightly-used Persian cats.
The amount of childish bickering on this thread between which is better, mac or pc, will never cease to amaze me. Obviously we all need MMs maps to run with our APs, and obviously MM doesn't care which possible clientele he may offend. I own a mac. I don't wear mock turtlenecks, or sip espresso, or want to fit in with AV club, nor am I frightened of computers etc. I have a mac because I like it and it works for me for the most part better than the two PCs I have owned. However, I too NEED MMs maps.

The software for MM maps are written for PC and NOT mac. Thats just the way it is, and when you bought your mac, as I did, you knew that in some point in time, this was a distinct possibility of happening. I FIXED this problem in UNDER 3 hours. I didn't cry about it or make some witty rebuttal to MMs opinions on the issue, I simply went to my local computer store and bought an OEM version of windows 7. After which, I partitioned my hardrive, installed it and then downloaded the AP manager and the updater. PROBLEM SOLVED. Im writing this post because prior to this I spent about 3 hours searching for some decent info on what to do, needless to say the majority of what I found was merely the age old argument stated above and not really ANY useful info.

In a final statement.

To Mac users: you knew this was a possible issue when you bought it and if you didn't you deserve every bit of linguistic violence you receive. In the mean time spend the 150 bucks and rectify the situation. Don't sit there and cry about it and make lame excuses of why mac is better blah blah blah because in general, nobody cares, and it will most definitely never get you what you want, in this case the software being re-written.
PC users: Just because someone prefers to use a mac on a daily basis does not make them a smug nonsensical homo. Matters of opinion and an open market are what this country is based on, this isn't ******* NAM!

You were sent (to your GMail account - anyone see a pattern here?) your 4.0.1 calibration information on November 5th at 1:49 pm.

As always, your calibration information is in your download folder.

BTW your calibration folder is THIS LINK plus your username as provided in #2 of the "11 Deadly Questions".

So, in your case, you just add "Jujo" to the end of that URL.

No. That's an important code - it actually means there is something wrong with your car. There is a TSB for that code (Eccentric shaft position sensor circuit problem).
It is usually because one of the battery grounds is screwed up.
Though, it might mean you have something seriously wrong in your DIY tune. I would be very careful about a separate dyno tune for your car that didn't come from me. I'm not sure what you are trying to accomplish by having some sort of separate tune going on.

I received the 4.0.1 from you on Aug 25th. Sent in logs using the 4.0.1 map (with Idle/Cruise/WOT) on Sep 8th. That was the one I was inquiring about... Should I resubmit?

Thanks again,
Jujo

Therefore all the data I sent you is useless cause my injectors are in the wrong place. Explains why the car runs like crap.
Sorry for wasting your time.
Hey Jeff,
I swapped the injectors yesterday and put my 880s in the 2 middle slots on the tree. I then ran your 4.0.2, which had the corrections for the injectors and the ignition. I went and did some driving and my car was running in the 15s under boost. Before I swapped injectors, I pegged the sensor at 11.0. Not sure whats going on.

Damn, I waited a month just to be told I neglected one on the gear captures. I need a co-pilot next run.

Sorry about that. Hund is supposed to catch those sort of things and usually does.
At least I was able to correct your trims.
Please follow the directions explicitly.

First of all, why didn't you run the 4.0.3?

Second, If I've been trying to correct your calibration for a running fuel condition that turned out to be a considerable amount of mechanical phail, what did you think was gonna happen?

You make a big change in the EFI system like that and you MUST start over.

^ thanks very much Jeff. I'm usually better at following directions, but ...

btw: I ended up doing a clean install of Windoze7 (apparently a Jedi54 mind trick!) and the AP app's work just fine.

Because my 4.0.2 is actually 4.0.1. I sent you info from the base map using stock injectors and stock ignition, then the day you sent me 4.0.1, was the day I installed my injectors and ignition. I sent you an email about whether or not you wanted me to start over and you said no, give me a couple hours and Ill make the correct changes, therefore you sent me 4.0.2 which technically is 4.0.1 with corrections for 880s in P2 and bhr ignition. So basically, WOT should have been pig rich, and reguardless of mechanical fail or not, the tune was setup for 880s in the P2. 4.0.3 gave me the same results. Ill try and run it again and see if it was a fluke.

No.
Your 4.0.1 has NO injector scaling.
Your 4.0.2 and 4.0.3 have 880cc injector scaling in the P2 position. I changed nothing since you told me right off the bat your P2s were 880cc (even though they were not).

Your 4.0.2 is 4.0.2. Your 4.0.3 is 4.0.3. Trying to switch up the nomenclature is only going to result in disaster since there is no way for me to keep track of what is what other than that.

Ok, so since you didnt change anything, and the car mechanically correct right now, Ill run 4.0.3 and send you logs. Thanks.

I don't even know what you just said. lol

I have a few customers that have G-Mail that seem to not receive things I send to them.

I also have several customers that insist on using an e-mail that they don't receive things own (by their own choice) as the send address for their logs.

What would be even more awesome would be a personal call from MM himself letting people know they can download a new update to their tune.

I would go through my entire allotment of phone minutes on the first 10 customers.

I don't ask for much. I have very explicit instructions and only ask for 14 datapoints for each submission.
If a customer can't comply with that, what kind of magic do they expect me to conjure?

Answer the 11 damn questions, get the 3 files and send it using a normal, reliable e-mail address.

My favorite new customers send an e-mail the second they get the AccessPORT from UPS with 1/2 of the 11 questions answered ambiguously, no files attached and a demand for their "first calibration".

Really. Tell me PLEASE - what am I doing wrong here?
My neighbor's 9-year-old daughter read and explained the instructions to me with no misunderstandings.

hola jeff, would switching from an RB exhaust to an HKS hi-power exhaust like i did lean out my afrs? how bout a dirty MAF sensor?

i reflashed the same map i always had (it was fine before i reflashed it, im on my 8th calibration) and now i run too lean (audible detonation) so im staying out of boost of course. AFRs are in the lower to mid 12's.

=[
