Unless you are talking about the APV (which has two valves), but those are connected to the same linkage.

Don't want to hijack Jeff's thread, but there are a couple recent threads on this topic.
Even how to remove and clean the valve.
the one closest to the battery..whether it be the ssv or apv..it's the one that is weak and I need to clean it or such, it's sticking. I am pretty sure it's gummed up and in the winter it just makes it that much more sticky/tacky inside.

I will look for the post on the topic.

question:
Just got my MM calibration not to long ago. Didn't notice it before but over 7K engine is noticeably losing it's power and I can hear constant "poping" from the exhaust... Any ideas?

Did you read the instructions in the e-mail that announced your download of v4.0.1?

Sorry to answer a question with a question.

Just starting back again since we stopped for the holidays on the 21st.

I have a backlog of about 80 calibrations. (I'm getting about 30 submissions a week.)

Ya if you dont have any CELs. I just ran through inspection less than an hour ago and she passed with flying colors. Granted I had to put the stock midpipe back on and Im on a tune that I made until I get to AZ so Jeff can dial it in, but I dont have anything masked except P0411. If your car runs good, shouldnt have any problems.

You don't need the stock midpipe, the CAT, the air pump the rear O2 sensor or any of the other emissions gear to pass.
Hell, I can make it so you can show up without the MOTOR and still pass.

My car smells VERY rich w/o the cat even though it shows 14.7-15.0 on the wideband. They sniff test out here so I wasnt sure if they would flag me since more fuel is making its way out the pipe without the cat. Just didnt want to be fined for removing emmissions bull ****.

So when you mask the CEL's it allows the test modes to set properly ??

I will likely have to pass emissions next year...so this might be an easy way to pass??

Lol!! Good point! Although it was kinda cool sitting at the intersection today and not being the smelly car for once!! Was thinking about leaving it in but I lost 30 MAF A/D counts with it on, (went from 339 to 309) so its gonna come off. My cousin Shaun gave me your number (hope thats ok). Ill text you when I get out there to see how your schedule is for getting together and tuning the car.

Yes. If the PID is turned off, it doesn't flag the readiness switch.

I dunno what happened with Shaun's car (he had a failed rear sensor), but I've taken that sensor completely out and had it set the readiness flag as "go".

When I get the street ported motor in this Spring, can I start with your dyno tune map on my car and tune from there? All the bolt-ons will be the same.

Maybe, but probably not.
Try it and see what it does!

I'm going to have to get my car re-inspected in May. They're a real bitch around here when it comes to emissions, so I'm going to put my cat back on and uninstall the AP. How long should I drive it around before everything is re-learned so that it doesn't trigger anything when I go to inspection?
