Read the 1st post again. The first time you do logs, its just the cruise log and the idle log. After you get your first calibration log, then you do WOT logs, idle logs, and cruise logs.

Ok, thanks. Well I'm on my first log so I did right then

Question to Flashwing or MM: If we have missed something or the log is deemed incomplete in any way, do we get a rejected mail so we know we have to redo and do better?

In the case of the cruise logs you are correct. You have to maintain 4200 or higher so you'll enter open loop and get cruise values.

I'm sorry, you are correct. I tend to send in everything at once but please defer to the instructions to ensure there isn't any mistakes. At this point yes you will get a rejection email with instructions on how to correct the issue.

For the most part, provided that you answer all the questions and provide all the necessary data you're ok as long as you spell out what you're sending.

One situation I see is people will send in data logs with no explanation of what they are sending. Just make sure everything is explained and you've got everything covered.

Flashwing, could you look into why there is over a 3 week delay currently? I have mailed Jeff but not gotten any reply. I did however get the received confirmation email so I know he has my logs.

Or should I take this issue with Hund? (Hund actually means dog in Swedish. Just a fun FYI )

I couldn't speak to why there is a 3 week delay. With hund coming on board there's some getting up to speed as well as Hund and MazdaManiac working out the process which is going to become standard.

Right now, Hund is managing the primary email communication but MazdaManiac is traveling until the end of the week so information on specific tunes will take a few days.

Up until Hund taking over the email, Jeff does answer every email himself, it's not an automated system so if he said he got your logs he does indeed have them.

As Flashwing has said, please give me a few days to get get with MM to work out who is where and what is going on. With Jeff traveling until the end of the week, I don't expect to be able to answer these questions until at least this weekend.

I am in the process of putting together a tracking system so that I know who has sent their logs and where everyone is in the process.

I apologize for issues you may have had in the past but I hope to have things cleared up shortly.

Thanks for your patience.

Sean

I am happy, you are not. Why?

If you want to compare this to restaurants, the accessport is the great meal you buy, for a fixed price, 700 bucks. MM's tune is the service. The meal is great, nothing to complain about. The service is a bit slow, does it ruin the meal? Walk out on the tip. You aren't paying for the extras. It's an incentive.

It's all about expectations. I can understand the people that buy a tune for 300 dollars and are dissappointed that it isn't coming in 48 hours if they only read it on the website and didn't investigate. I'd so some changes if it was me, but I'd also investigate if I was buying.

You and me though, we knew what we were going into.

PerSmitt: If you are lucky with the timing it shouldn't take that long, but he's probably travelling now As long as you did it according to instructions and got received you should be good to go.

I am happy now that we have Hund to keep us posted on how stuff is. My only complain has always been the lack of communication but now that it is solved I am so much more happy about this.

Thanks Hund!

My pleasure! I hope to continue to improve on this. Once I have more info on where things are and what Jeff is currently working on I think things will be even better.

Thanks again for your patience and understanding in this.

No problem, I'm a patient guy. As long as we are a bit along the way at the end of the month I will be happy

Drag racers use it often. Usually there's a piggy-back system that will hold the engine rpms when you're at the line waiting to go. You keep the gas floored but the rpms stay at like 4200 or so, then when you let off the clutch and get going, you can go above that. That way you don't have to try feathering the gas, etc. to keep the rpms at the level you want to launch at. It basically eliminates engine bogging/tire smoking and gives you a perfect launch, every time.

I know the ap can change the redline. All that would be needed is a "launch" redline for when the car is going under 10 mph, and a normal redline for above 10mph or w/e speed you want

That's actually a really cool idea, and it definitely seems like something within the realm of what the AP can do, even if it shouldn't be particularly necessary. Any comments from MM??

Launch control is available for the subie's and mitsu's. When you press the clutch in and floor the gas, it allows for the enginge to rev to a set limit and it allows for the engine to build partial boost pressure for better launches. I don't know what it does technically but it's pretty bad ***. But I don't know how well it would work with a NA car.

Uh...is there a reason people can't hold the RPM's at a desired level and then launch?

Either way, this would be nothing more than a street racing tool.
