New MazdaManiac BASE Calibrations
Hello, I've received today my 4_0_2 calibration. It is the first one after sending 2nd and 3rd gear WOT's.
The accompanying email is the same as when I received 4_0_1. Does this mean that another iteration is needed? - Desirable? or .. unnecessary?
And, I will remove the cat in the next few days... What should I do to receive a calibration with that new mod? Uninstall and begin from a base map or repeat from the last one (4.0.2 in this case) ?
Thank you very much in advance.

I sent my logs in last week to only get my BHR coil dwell fixed. MM stated in his original MM COBB AP customer e-mail that once the correct calibrations are sent he will get back to you in 24-48 hours and your new calibrations should get to you in 5 business days not including Saturdays or Sundays. I received ten calibrations within a couple of days when I first got my AP from him. I have always received quick service.
I waited maybe a month after i got mine to do datalog. Mainly because the weather was kinda cold for florida. i wanted a more average day when i did the datalog, i got the email confirmation that it was received and was correct. its been over a month now and havent had any maps come in..

I've resent it twice now. Maybe you should look at your SPAM filter.
has anyone here had a problem uploading the BASE map on to the library... I tried many times and it just tells me that the map is a old format and to visit the cobb website.
The map i am specifically having an issue with is the 2005 mt fi base cali usdm v4_0.ptm...

Thank you. I understant I have to put the midpipe in and repeat the last step (2nd and 3rd gear runs). But what about if I don't fit a midpipe? Is my calibration process over then (I'm on 4_0_2) or do I need to send logs another time?
New firmware (1.3.2.2-10040) and a new version of the AccessPORT Updater (v1.2.0.0-9386) available.
Not particularly. I don't know what they changed.
Probably just a world ROM update.
If you are having connection/COMMs problems, this might have a fix in it. Dunno.
There were some people in Europe that were having issues with the re-install routine. Probably a fix for that as well.
I just updated mine and I don't see anything obvious.

Excuse me, I know it may be a dumb question but I haven't seen it anywhere.
Is it necessary for a lightly modded NA to go beyond calibration version 4.0.2?
(If that helps, I have the cat on and I'm seeing afr's from low 13s at wot to high 14s - sometimes 15.0 when not)
Thank you in advance.

In a case like this (where the operator is not entirely sure what the AFR targets actually are), I recommend continuing to send in submissions until I send you an e-mail that says you are "done".
Usually, that is by v4.0.4 in an N/A car and v4.0.7 in an FI car. (Though, there are several NA cars that have gone to v4.0.6 and FI cars that have gone to v.4.0.9 [not including people that can't stop changing/disconnecting important things].)
you mean people keep tinkering with their cars after they start the calibration process?! no wai!!!
thanks Jeff: I probably won't bother updating since its' working as intended.

14's at WOT? (Rhetorical question because I have your logs and you are not.)

Thank you Jeff.
I didn't made myself clear, I meant I am seeing 13.1 - 13.2 WOT (in lower gears at least), and higher numbers like 14.7 - 15 when cruising in higer gears being gentle on the throttle.
I'll send in new logs this weekend, thanks.
PD: I have in mind removing the cat next month, hope this won't cause too much trouble.

installing them today.. hope no boom
