Meaning if you are running a FI rx8 (or trying to get it running) and your injectors are not stock we must submit the 11 deadly questions to ap@mazdamaniac.com so that we can obtain a base map because the FI rx8 maps you have will not work correctly or need to be tailored based on the injectors or maf changes..... Just want to know because i made the submission based on that statement in your instructions to the above email address.

I still dont get what im doing wrong im not logging all im asking for is a based map because of the above mentioned..........

As I read through the past through replies, I see people who submitted before me are just getting their calibrations, so sorry for the rush; hopefully I'm up soon .

The OEM WBO2S will read down to 11:1, so it is adequate for tuning.
However, it is useful to have an aftermarket setup so that it is easy to keep tabs on your system if something changes.

^I agree i meant stock wideband sensor like mazda maniac said it only goes to a certain point personally and its definitely helpful to have one that has a more capable range. I had the issue where if i listened to my wideband i would be at 11.17 however in reality im running wayyy to rich at 9.0 in boost. Im still trying to get a base map based off of jeff instructions i think i have done the right thing however still getting no answer besides read carefully which i think i have done and even explained why im requesting a new basemap.

Jeff,
I sent you an email on April 1st (need base map for larger injectors) and still have yet to receive a confirmation reply. Like everyone has said in this thread before "not trying to be annoying, just want to make sure I wasn't missed".

Thanks in advance!

MM ... after my last map I would randomly get an engine code ... maf voltage too low

Cobb says 1.2 at idle ... is this too low ? tuning issue? or is my maf busted?

I was going to uninstall the Cobb today to see what the non adjusted reading was ... but i'm lazy so i thought Id ask first.

No need for any change in the tune - the kit should handle the fueling on its own.
A big enough "shot" might benefit from some timing reduction, though.

Hey Jeff, not to bother you but my new AP is hosed as of today. I went to plug it in and it will not power up. I tried the USB cable as well and still nothing. It has worked fine since I got it but won't do a thing now. How do you want me to handle this? Go through you or Cobb for a replacement? My factory program is still on the unit as well.

Ty

You can follow the Cobb warranty replacement instructions or you can ship it to me and I'll take care of it (though the latter will add about a week to the turn-around).
Whichever is more convenient for you.

Jeff,

Question for ya. I'm getting my motor rebuild and street ported (RB's templates) this summer. Would you be able to tune me still?

Jeff, please advise as to why I can not get any confirmation from you as to the progress of my tune. Like I said, I have not even gotten a confirmation email that you have received my original email asking for the base tune with larger secondary injectors.

If you haven't gotten a confirmation, then you are probably sending it to the wrong place.
Are you using the links provided in the instructions?

Thank you for finally answering. Yes I followed the directions to the "T".

Sent an email with subject line "AccessPort Calibration Service" to ap@mazdamaniac.com on April 1st 2010. It had full answers to the 11 deadly questions and a short explanation as to what I need (base map for 750cc secondary injectors on a greddy turbo kit). I'm looking at the email right now in my sent folder. It was sent from azroto at gmail.

Please check if you have gotten it, or let me know if I need to resend. Does this mean I have to wait ANOTHER 2 weeks?!
