MAF correlation with AF

Here one can see the direct correlation between MAF and AF

Chart two show two RX8 the same except one has a header and the other has the Mazsport ignitionw/fly

Ngo is much leaner w/same map therefore less at the MAF. He has since upped his map to make him richer.

Generally what average temp range should we be shooting for? Obviously as you turn up the heat to get more output your going to be running a higher % of duty all over...so how hot, is too hot, for how long?

Got mine this morning. It's glorious!

I haven't done much with it but I flashed the stock style map and watched the various screens on my way to work.

The only thing on my wish list is it would be nice if it had an option to display values in metric. I changed my car's temp display to Fahrenheit so I had a reference as to what the AP was telling me my intake temp was. Ambient was 30F, intake temp was 34-36F. Not bad! MS/AEM intake at work.

Last night I logged 3 different runs with my Canscan on the way home from work. I dumped all three into Excel and made a few charts. These were all done with the Cobb "Stock" map. I logged the following items...

* RPM
* STFT
* LTFT
* Calculated Load
* Relative Throttle Pos
* O2S1 Sensor

I couldn't find a direct way to log AFR, so I took the O2S1 data and multiplied by 14.7. Attached are a few screenshots of the charts. Please send me a PM if you want to see the original excel file.

If you have an Intel based mac, check out VMWare Fusion. PPC macs are stuck with less than perfect emulation.

Fusion works great, I've been running XP on my new iMac for a couple weeks now with no problems. I ordered an AP too, I'll report back when I get it all running.

btw, anyone with a scangauge2, I can confirm the STFT is available as an xgauge. Tomorrow I'll try out the LTFT ... the last gauge I'd like to see is the EGT (cat temp sensor).

Guess I'm not selling the scangauge2 as I was planning

While you can read these values with the AP, the scangauge2 is instant on, and mounts nicely on the dash. So no menu setup and no fuss. It just turns on with your car and updates without delays.

Actually, there's a thread on the AP forum about settings and desired features. If the AP had a pref that allowed it to start up and go to live data mode, and could display readouts for more than 1 item at a time, it could be a very useful display in it's own right. The only prob I see is the need to disconnect the odb2 sometimes or it gets comm errors.

i have the Macbook, so yes i have the intel CPU. VMWare is a little more expensive than other ones that i have seen, but i guess if it works good, it is worth it.
