Cobb AccessPORT Discussion
Yeah, I am hopelessly behind again! lol
I sent out 30 calibrations over the weekend. More will follow.
Please feel free to send any kind of data you would like.
Just remember to include the answers to the 10 questions somewhere in the e-mail so I know who the hell you are!

ShellDude: I hate your avatar, damn thing creeps me out every time.

It seems stupid to rush someone that could, without much effort, i'm sure, destroy your engine without coming within 1000 miles of it. noooo thank you, sir
lol
im running the base 5b map and after installing my midpipe that yielded me the most gains..
im goignt o SA raceway this weekend..
I wonder how much difference is between the first set of maps over the other ones.. ive been trying to find information on them but this thread has become masssive!

The calibrations are a progression - there aren't any real "generational" differences.
As each user gets an update, it gets "tighter" for their particular application.

So do I have to do the calibrations first or can I just run the stage 1 map that it came with since my car is stock. Sorry I didn't wanna dig through 163 pages of this thread and my connection is slow at work.
Daemos,
If you've gotten a new map since you generated data then the typical course is for you to install the new map, do a bunch of driving - as in a a couples days worth, generate new data, and go from there.
I've been working from an approx. 1 month window. I got my last update on 8/5, ran for a solid month with it, and just the other day sent Jeff new data.
In my experience, it takes Jeff between a day and 5 days to provide an update, I'm guessing, depending on his "overall" load.

1) Install AP & install map
2) Let car water temp get almost to normal operating temp
3) Drive car around block
4) See what the Short Term Fuel Trim is sticking is idling @ & adjust map if needed

I found him hanging out on my porch last fall. Picture was taken with my evolt dslr's macro lens. I'm looking for a replacement. He's my stand-in avatar when I can't find one fitting for a forum I'm still getting "comfy" with
If only I had $1 for every time these words were uttered in this thread....

and understand the calibration. I was just asking if we could skip it and go straight to stage 1. I'll take that as a NO and uninstall and start over. Thanks simplyphp
The guy I purchased said that since my car was stock that I would probably benefit more from the Cobb out-of-the box maps and wait until I got my intake/exhaust/ignition solution to get the MM maps.
The stage 1 is here...Cobb Accessport Maps
It was already on the AP when I initially turned it on along with the valet, anti-theft, economode, stock mode maps. I didn't really want to bother you with a stock 8 since it seems like you are putting out a lot of product daily. Plus I was hoping to eventually catch you for a dyno-tuned map which would be the most optimum.
