Hey Jeff: wondering if I could get an update on the status of the first calibrations I've asked for (it's been about a week). No need to rush though =) I'm stuck inside studying =(

Huge AP Firmware update coming.....

http://www.cobbtuning.com/info/?ID=3873

Release Notes
http://www.accessecu.com/support/acc...P_1.2.8.0.html

---------- SNIP ----------
New Features/Feature Updates:
Dongle firmware update
Dongle 0.41 firmware - addresses general stability and Nissan-specific protocol

Added CAN dongle reflash functionality to AP on startup
Added a dongle firmware updater.

On startup, the dongle version is checked and, if necessary, updated to the latest firmware automatically.

Added "Accum. Avg. " to "Fuel Economy"

Added `Accum. Average' to `Fuel Economy'.

Accumulated average fuel economy is the continual averaging of fuel consumed over distance traveled. The average is saved periodically and resumed between sessions. The accumulated average can be reset by selecting `Accum. Average' within `Settings' under `Fuel Economy'.

Added Min/Max in Live Data

Added monitor min/max values when viewing `Live Data'.

Min/max values will show the minimum and maximum values of the active monitor during the session. Values are reset after selecting a new monitor.

Added save and load of last used dynamometer test parameters

Last used dyno parameters are now stored as defaults for subsequent dyno runs.

Saved parameters can be reset through `Reset Dyno' found under `Settings' then `Performance'.

Added Dyno log feature (log accessible through AP Manager)

Added automatic Dyno log archival.

The last ten logs will be stored automatically. Dyno logs can be retrieved through AccessPORT Manager using the `Advanced View'.

Subaru: added 2008 WRX AT support

Added 2008 Subaru WRX Automatic support.

Subaru: added task to adjust idle and timing
Added `Adjust Idle' and `Adjust Timing' to `ECU Settings', found on the main menu.

Idle RPM can be temporarily adjusted +/- 300 RPM in 25 RPM increments.
Timing can be retarded up to -5 degrees in 1 degree increments.

Nissan and Mazda: DTC task shows which module is throwing codes

Added sub-module trouble code reading and clearing (Mazda and Nissan only)

Mazda: made logging and flashing communications faster
Improved communication speed for logging and flashing (Mazda only)
---------- SNIP ----------

The page says the link will be updated today. WOOHOO!! DATALOGGING!!!

you can put the flame suit away, I'll play nice.
the AP doesn't log data, it only displays it to you real time. You need a different program to save the info so you can graph it.
EFIdude has something but I personally use Hymee's Scanalyzer.

Most of the firmware updates are for Nissan and Subaru.
Still no datalogging.
The software for V2 has datalogging, but there is still no release date for the Mazda-compatible stuff.

The write time should be shorter, though.

Doh! You were right Jeff....again

It's still a great upgrade tho. I updated before I left work and I played during the drive home. Item switching under live data has been changed up....much nicer IMO. Display speed has been GREATLY improved, and the high/low values are great addition.

Just got the thing, and I'm plain confused. I keep getting different STFT readings, every time I calibrate.

I must've done it like 4 times now, and it's getting confusing. I start the car, and it almost stalls a few times, before it starts idling at 850rpm, and then goes down randomly for some reason.

STFT readings hover at 5% sometimes, 15% at other times, and 8% too.

What should I do?

EDIT: Also, I was wondering if MM's calibration flashes do what the Stage 1 tuning does, or is it just a Stock style tuning with CEL deletes and stuff?

FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS.
Why are you "recalibrating"?

WTF?

Stock-style tuning? Why would anyone buy that?

Uh?

I don't see any requests from someone with a user name "HeyArnold".
Shoot me a quick note with your real name so I know where you are in the queue.

I got the Cobb AP update tonight thanks to being at Jeff's right after he down loaded it. My goodness it's live data view is mind boggling. Fast data display now.
It also displays high and low measurements on the different data points. Say for instance the AFR readings. It gives you the lowest and highest AFR readings during a session. But it looses the log when you change input designations.
So if you change from AFR to Intake temps and go back to AFR, then it resets to pick up the next data session.

A very nice update indeed. I know this is going to come up about a thousand times later so let me be one of the first to stress HAVE YOUR DONGLE PLUGGED INTO THE AP WHEN YOU UPDATE

fyi MM, you state on the revised first page "This new updater also updates your dongle to the newest firmware, so have it connected the the PA when you install.", a small typo but i'm sure you get enough email as it is
