anyway, kl can get new engine. well all up to how the compression test come out today, and its raining now. i am not sure the mechanic will come or not.

 

no CEL even i start my car now, keep it at 2000 rpm.

will ignition coil failure also cost same problem?

 

from what i read, it could be the ignition coil, cat failure or even both.

 

tolorati u r right. check just now, both rotor got pressure but no fire on the second rotor.
we shake the coil and the car can run smoothly for a while. tomorrow borrow member's coil check.

this is a photo of the "upper arm", the triangular thing. the bushing are broken/cracked, those in red circles, including the ball joint (the red circle at the bottom). i did inspect them the other day and found that, the ball bearing seem unchangable. may be need to buy the whole upper arm. please check for me. thanks. sorry to hear that.... so, are you getting the new engine? 20B?

 

already ask ah choy, he say 20b not ngam rx8. cause rx8 is electronic base car. and 20b is more suit for rx7. so he suggest to rebuild and might change to 6 speed manual. depends on price and time frame of the work.

 

Boy,I think ur 8 can get no 1 rank in our club.Most problem 8 award confirm ur 8 get already lah.But as we talk about early just rebuild ur engine will do lah.anyway,Good luck yo u

better just buy new engine from OZ la...if you rebuild you'll need to send the engine to KL again right? Or u can rebuild there in Sabah?

 

I'm curious! Is it RM11,000 or Brunei Dollar 10,000?? If it's RM, then definitely not brand new....... BTW, many Aus tuners bought engine from Mal b4, like hard-to-get20b....

why not If there's someone go down to KK for the engine rebuild ?Getting a brand new engine the price will let u rebuild ur engine for twice wow.Brand new engine will still blow someday is just matter of time.I bet benny won't keep the car for so long rite?... Does it mean that after rebuild the engine it will still maintain in perfect condition rite?or Any different after rebuild?like lost a bit power etc.....

 

How come boony can replace brand new engine without paying single cent?He bought a brand new car and the car under PI warranty?

 

New engine won't blow so fast wan.
It's all about whether you overhaul your car in time before they blow or not.
Bear in mind, no doubt all our cars show low milage, they could in fact be high milage but altered by car dealers. Afterall, it's been 3 years or 4 years for most of our rx8s.

Ok...like what u say must overhaul your car in time before the engine blow.Overhaul that u mean izzit Like what they did on engine rebuild?Need to take out ur engine and the price overhaul same wif rebuild?

 

this is scarry man, u guys make it sounds like engine blow is part of the natural life cycle.. surely thats not it... must be some reason for it...

 

Its RM...Its not new engine...used one...not sure if its cheaper to buy in KL?
