Er... Super bad news

i think one of the member here blown his engine today. and i think mine also did. but not sure.

i hear a snap sound when i go out from a traffic light. i hear a snap sound. and the car got no power, only run on second gear. i thought it was the belting. but i found out it was not when i got home. but funny thing is no light is on. no CEL , no coolant light. but when i open the bonnet, no water. i wonder whats wrong. =_='' blow engine?

Try to start back my car and it is hard to do so. but i did start the car and no light was on. but the car keep on vibrating. the rpm go up and down. 800 - 1500

blown 2 engine in 1 day?!

 

ok before this happened, how did u drive your car? like hero or like superhero?

Neewayz, sorry to hear bout the BAD NEWS...... Hope its not a blown engine, BUT.... i'd be seriously surprised if it wasn't. The fact that there's NO water/coolant, hard to start and fluctuation of idling rpms all point out to the unmentionable.....

DAMN.... now im also scared of f#*king up my car.....

do a compression test first.
Most workshops should be able to do that for you.

 

I agree do compression test....

if compression ok....... check if your radiator is leaking...if not check the water jackets lor.

 

Yah yah...... Compression test shud be done first.... Maybe u got lucky.....Im keeping my fingers crossed for u...... Hope its fixable........

 

I am sorry to hear that.... you mentioned about no water... I assume that was your radiator? I suspect you have a leak radiator, did you fill it up and check? Overheat? let's keep our fingers crossed and hopefully the check-up later will give you a better news than blown engine...

 

for the nosie thing...

1 Is squeal, click or chirp sound present?
Yes Inspect the engine oil level or drive belts.
No Go to the next step.

2 Is rumble or grinding noise present?
Yes Inspect the drive belts.
No Go to the next step.

3 Is rattle noise present?
Yes Inspect the location of rattle for loose parts.
No Go to the next step.

4 Is hissing noise present?
Yes Inspect for the following:
• Vacuum leakage
• Spark plug looseness
• Intake-air system leakage
• Variable fresh air duct (VFAD) control system operation (13B-MSP (High Power))
No Go to the next step.

5 Is rap or roar noise present?
Yes Inspect the exhaust system for loose parts.
No Go to the next step.

6 Is knocking noise present?
Yes Go to the symptom troubleshooting "No.13 Knocking/pinging/detonation-Acceleration/cruise". (will give u detail instruction how to check this)
No If the noise comes from engine internally, inspect for oil pump drive gear or chain noise.

*** i can start the car, but it will die after a few second, sounds normal but no power, unless i push on the fuel pedal. the car maintain at idleing RPM when idling. vibrate and die***


My second review:

1. 1. its a snap sound, like something putus.
engine oil, drive belt is ok, water coolant is actually ok, cause it was hot at the time, so cannot see the water at the reserve tank.

2. Is rumble or grinding noise present?
Cannot consider grinding and rumble noise. its more like normal rotary sound. the car start for a while and dead.

3. no rattle noise

4. YES i do hear hissing noise from the bottom of the car when it start. but it sound like normal engine start with a bit of hissing.
• Vacuum leakage - still waiting for mech
• Spark plug looseness - still waiting for mech, but unlikely
• Intake-air system leakage - checked myself, no problem
• Variable fresh air duct (VFAD) - auto dun have

5 Is rap or roar noise present? - nope

6 Is knocking noise present? - nope

 

=====Mechanic A====== not rotary mechanic.

when pressing the fuel pedal, the engine won't die off. tested by removing 1 caable by a time. suspected problem is the spark plug cable is blown or burnt. without proper tools cannot check the engine pressure.
to be continue tomorrow.......

 

=====Mechanic B====== RX7 mechanic.

Engine didn't die on me but, it rev between 1000rpm - 2000rpm on idling.
the car did vibrate a bit when low rpm.

according to him, he say i blew my engine. he say he can hear the sound of the blown engine start. =_=''

he is gonna borrow me the pressure meter and test with Mechanic A tomorrow.

 

suspect detonation = Petrol that added in kerosin

 

How could this happened? you mean the petrol station have mixed the kerosin in the petrol?

 

Blown engine should sound like Marbles in a can. DId you hear this? HOpe everything will be fine for you

 

no ler. not really got maple in a can sound ler.

 

if you blown ur engine can buy engine from OZ ard RM11K including shipping to Borneo...i wonder if can buy engine from KL
