Talking San Bernardino monthly meet and drive 2007 thread.

After OVER 10,000 post and over 102,000 views, our old San Bernardino thread was closed on 4-5-07 @ 12:16 a.m. (almost 2 and a half years) for site speed and reliablility reasons. link to old thread: https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...6&page=1&pp=40

Any whoooo,

We are a few rotary people that get together once a month to talk rotary, talk non rotary, and go for a drive with lunch after. everyone that drives a rotary is welcome.

EDIT:
We meet on the second Saturday of every month. at the same place every time to make it easyer.
The meeting place is Pirate City Tattoo parking lot accross from Pep Boys on E street in San Bernardino.
We meet at 9:00 A.M. and we usually head out for a drive around 9:30 or 10:00
we Then try to go to lunch together all as a group.
if you need anything feel free to ask on this thread, or PM myself.

if you go to http://www.piratecitytattoo.com/ there is a map and the address at the bottom.

Read the post below, as we usually post pictures after every run.

Click the link behind the date to go to the page that the pictures are on for that meet..
(note: up to april 07 these links refer back to the old thread. they should still work though... from what I am told)

What happened to all the other post? Did it restart? Well I had a question also. I was driving my rx-8 and I was trying to go past 122 or 123 mph, but after that it just went down. Is there a prevention or something that doesn't allow me to go past it?

No problem Stealth. Thanks for the sticky! (not that we need it, this thread is always at the top)

Stealth, do you know what the LARGEST thread was on RX-8club?

Sucks going 10 days without Kwescott. (since he is on strike.)

Darkmage. they closed out other thread because it was to big. (read the first post here). and no there is no limiter at that speed, the limiter is at 148. I dont know why you awould have had that problem????

Unless they changed something, no.
I've gone over 125 several times. (Do not attempt; Professional driver on a closed course).
What gear were you in?
Is there a chance you were redlining and hit the rev-limiter?
125 in 6th gear is no problem, and I think you can do it in 5th.
Also, don't get caught - or it's straight to jail, Do Not Pass Go, Do Not Collect $100.

I'm pretty sure it was the SB thread. In the search function you can specify thread w/ "at least" X number of replies. I searched for generic terms like "mazda" and at least 5000 replies, and it listed the SB thread as the top number of replies by a long shot.

Talking

You're all invited this Saturday!!!

To help me move...

As most of you know, I got a new house in February.
Well, I still haven't made time to move-in.
Most of the small items are done.
And the large furniture upstairs is done, except for 1 room.
I was going to hire a moving company, but there's not really that much stuff left.

I have some couches, tables, a china cabinet, and a bedroom to move.
Some appliances too.

With several people helping, I could probably knock this out in a few hours.

I will provide food/drinks.

If you can make it, I would be forever indebted to you.
Send me a pm, and I can give you directions even if you only show up to help load up the truck or unload the truck or for the whole time.
Any help would be great.

Of course, once everything is done, and we're all moved in, everyone will be invited to the party.

I plan to start on Friday night loading the truck, and finish loading on Saturday morning. Then unloading at the new house.
I currently live near Keith/Erica (most of you know where they live 210/15 fwy), and I'm moving 4 miles away, so everything is local.

OK, I was wrong. The only thread I was thinking could have more was the "Word Association" thread.
Well, I found it, and it's more

12,589 posts. But not as exciting to read.
And, it almost doesn't count since it was only 1 or 2 words per post.

The next weekend is the meet. I figured since I wasn't doing it on Sunday it wouldn't be an issue. I don't expect people to miss the Monthly Meet to help me move.

I don't have a problem rescheduling, it's my family that is irritated that we don't live in the new house yet.
So, unfortunately, I have to get it done this weekend or deal w/ all the issues/tension that is caused by me waiting another week.

If you can't help, I understand.
