Don't ask me, I blew my headunit w/ my installation. That's why I have an aftermarket headunit installed.
Jedi/Loren/Casey all have installed their subs, and kept the stock unit w/o blowing it.

 

I used hi low converters. the "best" way is to get a head unit with low outputs, but I wanted to retain my factory head unit. but the hi low converter has been working for me for a few years now. (cross overs work as well)

no idea why your amps would be going out. what brand did you go with? I would sugguest wiring, but if it works for a while, then gives you problems that is likley NOT the case. I would lean more tords cheap amps???

I've just been reminded that Cal Poly is hosting an autocross practice on both Saturday and Sunday, August 11-12. This means I'll probably miss the next meet too. My new mod is coming along slowly but surely, but there are more details to take care of than I realized.

screamn8 i too am using a high low converter. i have to agree with casey, but i am sure we could coem out with more reasons if we saw it in person. Good luck at the dealership.

That is the hardest thing to do is up grade the system on the 8.

 

tell me about it...mine was 15 hours of solid work and waaaayyyy too much money.

yep i have a hi low converter thats the nma i was trying to remember.
but my friend thinks it may be that the hi low converter is whats causing
the problem. meaning that he thinks a better onemight do the trick.
but when ever some of you guys have time on a sat. maybe you can look at it for
me casey, jedi , loren. jedi is closer so if we can get a date set up i'll buy lunch.

We are running an article on the new Mazda store in Temecula. So I snuck my car in the line-up for the picture.
The article will run this Sunday in the auto section. Then again in a month. One of those articles is supposed to have the picture in it.

Forza 2 download is available. I am currently downloading the "Nissan Tournament Pack". It is free and comes with "...the North American 2007 Nissan Altima, 2007 Nissan Sentra, and the 2007 Nissan 350z."

There is one additional download available today for the 207 Turbo Diesal Puegot. I guess this was a Lemans car that did fairly well. It is 50 Microsoft Points.
