we blew our second LCD lamp in our tv last night.....Erica was playing some Tombraider on the Xbox and pop.....everything went dark. Thanks to Ebay, ordered a 300 bulb for 150 (even with overnight shipping)...so we should be back and running in a day or so.

Set the xbox up temporarily on the projector...so right now, unfortunately, we are only playing with a 90 inch screen ......ehehehhehehh.

This will be number two. The first one was under warranty though - it went out before the TV was even a year old so i am not sure that one really counts.

that's the nice thing about DLP or LCD projection- ie just replace a bulb and you're back in business. it's weird why the tv industry is abandoning this technology altogether.

prices are really good on those tvs right now.

Thats probably why - its too "nice". Panasonic is only getting $150 off of us for the next five years instead of $1500 for a new tv!

If *knock on wood* you have to replace your bulb - really look into it first. The bulb through panasonic is actually around $300 but that is because they send a completely new housing AND bulb. You can replace only the bulb through outside vendors for $150.

ebay baby.... ebay solves all of the worlds problems (damn I wish I came up with that idea).

I actually have another idea related to computers and the web....if anyone knows some people in the industry or guys who like to invest in such things, send them my email.....It really is a good idea.

the only reason ebay worked is because of pay pal. but, pay pal is like a full-blown financial institution, which is why it required so much start-up capital and investment to get started.

And now ebay own's PayPal.
So aside from the millions a day ebay makes, they have revenue from other PayPal services and purchases.
