lol... 5 minutes of work, and im back in bsp if the bov is a problem, it takes 2 minutes and a screwdriver to swap back to the bypass valve, and the rear bars come off in 5 minutes... and we all know we have plenty of pit time to remove that stuff

The BOV, trunk bars and front strut bar. wtf is with that thing in the trunk? You like to have extra weight on board. Is this something you saw on a fast EVO or you just had to buy something out of the NOPI catalog for the hell of it.

The Berry Family Evo had the stock front strut bar, with a DC sport rear strut bar. The front bar is already triangulated and does the job.

Jessie, what is a "front tribar"...is this a strut bar or sway bar?

Only factory bars can be triangulated. Non stock bars may only attach at upper to upper or lower to lower in a strait line, that is why his front and rear are not legal.

I was agreeing with you.

When I was floating the idea of an Evo around in my mind, I was talking to Casey about mods...and we both thought that the stock bar was designed well. To go aftermarket (being forced to buy a single, non-triangulated bar) would have seemed a step backwards.

On a different note, what do you think about Jason U's "wing"at the Prosolo.....?

Well his spoiler was not legal so he had to make a "wing" out of it. Weak but it got around the rules.

Sad to see Vipers go do the road of bling over performance like so many other San Bernardino wanna be racers.

Yeah, there was a bit of me that thought Jason was clever, and another side of me that thought it was rediculous. It sorta screamed "hahaha" to me...I mean, taping a peice of cardboard to the car.....like, I know the rules, and how to get around them.

I'm no longer a wanna-be racer. I've proven myself to be consistent, and improving...now, I'm just a wanna-be-faster racer.

I doubt anyone took a picture, but what he basically did, was took a peice of carboard about 3 inches wide, and 2-3 feet long. He bent down 2 inch "risers on each side, and taped them with black tape to his car. When attached to the car, it appeared to be no longer than a liscence plate, and it didn't even stand up...as it would flop down when he was driving. I worked course when he was running, and it was rather rediculous.

wtf are you talking about.... 2005 RX8 with 28k miles, those miles sure don't get there by just racing, our car is driven every day. We have about 20k on our current set of Kumho SPT street tires, that we paid for, and I would guess they will go another 10k easy. It is toe not camber that kills the tires off.

I use to drive my Vette to work every day with -2 camber, even when I was buying all my tires. You either set your car up to go fast or you dont.
