naw, i would have sold the seats. the next 8 imna get will have the black leather w/blue trim . it'll probably be either WB or PB seeing as blue is my favourite colour

 

i like the phantom blue too. my last 2 cars have been blue tho- so, i'm all blued out. <lol> (i guess that's why i wanted a yellow 8.) dark blue is pretty much the same as black- ie difficult to keep clean. (it looks blue during the day, and black at night.) but, i'd imagine that winning blue should stay clean...

of course i'll still hang out w/you guys! just because i don't have an 8 anymore doesn't mean i won't. but for the mean time until i get another car, i won't be doing much driving. I'll be driving around in the mom-mo-bile on only the days i go to school until i get another car.

But yea, it'll be a while before i get my next 8. and for sure i'm going to be having another MT 8.

 

I'll take a picture tonight. Mazda quoted me 230 to get the bumper repaired...without even looking at it, then plus paint. If your nephew could do it for cheaper, I am definately interested. I'm not liking the replica bumper I have.

Sorry to hear about that, I feel for you. I had a similar off-road excusion about a year and a half ago where I lost it and went off. Ended up getting wrapped in a chain link fence, which did wonders for the paint job.

The total repair costs were very close to the insurance co's "total" requirements, but not quite. I didn't post about it here cause I didn't feel like defending myself to a bunch of Internet douchebags, but I learned some lessons that day.

Anyways, don't let it get you down too much. You'll get over it.

i'm not sad about the car. i mean, i know i liked it alot, but in the end, no matter how much effort, time, money, etc. spent on my car, in the end it was just that; just a car. I can always get another one later and build it up the same way i had mine, or build it up differently. So no, i'm not sad about that. What i am sad about, is that now i have no car :cry:. Nothing to drive around when i need to go out places. my 8 was my DD. anyways, i decided to just post my news here in the san berdoo thread to avoid all them internet douchebags like mugato (or whatever his name is).

on another note, i went back down to the body shop where my car is at, and i was able to pull off all 4 side strakes . I'll have a price on them for you guys tomorrow if anybody is interested in them. If nobody buys them here, i'll put them up on eBay.

body shop said i can go down there and take out all the upholstery as long as it is replaced by the original material. that is if the car is still there at the shop. my car wasn't picked up today, so it'll possibly be tomorrow when it leaves.

 

Find out what junk yard they take it to.

There is some one you can sell the chrome door to, cheap if it is missing parts maybe they can use the exisitng parts.

I tried to look it up on Mazda's website but it didn't say any thing. If anything the name would start from the RX-2 maybe info on that car would say why.
