I have never premixed, but have thought about it. I know they also added a 3rd oil injector which should be helping more than just increased flow.

When I get a more steady income I will probably start premixing but at 30k miles it might be to little to late since I have not done it for the 12k miles I owned the car.

A BHR radiator, Mazport upgraded water pump and a Pettit secondary cooling system also keep my engine cool. While I recommend premix there are others who do not.

What year series 2? Cobb did not feel that enough series 2 engines were sold to warrant the time and money required to adapt the AP to it. I do know that Mazda Maniac was doing some work with the AP for the Series 2 but I am not sure he any concrete results yet.
cooling is my main priority plus I plan on competing with it so another reason to keep her cool. What product/products do you recommend for premixing. I will also be getting a koyo radiator and sil hoses. For the Sohn adapter is that a rather easy task to install? I assume do the moddifications before using/getting the AP or AP first priotity due to motor being s1 (asuming rebuild for 04 is an s1)then do everything and retune if needed?

Indemitsu is the premix everyone uses. The AP is pretty high on the priority because you can use it to turn on your fans much earlier, not just tune. After I got my AP my car rarely went over 195 even at idle. Without AP I hit 218 while sitting in LA traffic.

There are different opinions about the Koyo radiator as well that you might want to look into. Many have said that it doesn't give you any better returns than stock. Or worse have reported that the car has run hotter. I'd look more around the forums outside of this thread.

Thx for the heads up and will do. I will probably go with the BHR then heard good reviews with it.

If people are interested, there is a member selling 12 pack case for $58. $80 shipped. I am marrying my AP to my car soon so I won't need a full case cuz I don't plan on premixing after my AP. If people want in on this with me, let me know. I don't want a full case.

Hey guys, just got back from the dealer and they were able to fix my problem. Apparently the flap in front of the key hole wouldnt slide back down when the key was removed so it thought the key was still inside. On a more interesting note, i got my full service report from them and its amazing how many things they replaced, apparently Im on my 6th engine for this car last done in 09. Overall the dealer was awesome, they didnt charge me for the visit...hopefully they continue the trend in case something worse were to happen.

I have no experience with the new dealer in NorthWest Vegas. The previous owners were the same as those owning the Henderson dealer. I do not have a good word for them.......

The new dealer is actually pretty good. They just bought the rights to be the mazda dealership from the dealership right next door to them and they are all pretty friendly there. Got my oil changed at the old place once, and they only filled it 3/4 full so I never went back there. The new dealership has really great prices on oil changes, but then I wouldn't be able to use the weight I want.

Yeah i was just there and they have a tiered system that you can do for oil changes. The best one i believe was 60 dollars for 6

Yea I couldn't remember the exact prices but I knew they were pretty amazing. The old place out there tried to charge me $50 for one oil change and $60 if I wanted 5w30 instead of 5w20.

It's a little late for me, but it's beginning to sound like we may have a real dealer in the NorthWest.......

While having some body work done, I drove my 8 home without the front bumper. In short, one of the hoses to my oil cooler burst (so it appears) and spewed oil everywhere. On top of that the oil light came on and before I could get pulled over, the engine quit running. The engine is not seized so I could have gotten lucky.....One of my friends is coming in from Phoenix and will tear into the problem and determine if I fried my engine. The temp never got over 200 during the whole problem so at least this time heat did not play into my problems. My cooling system really worked and for this I am happy.

Wish me some luck.

Good luck Phil. You've always been a gigantic help when it comes to Kasumi. You and Ray have. I haven't forgotten that. If there is anything I can do to help don't hesitate, I owe you.

ATTENTION
I just received a phone call from the Orleans..........It seems that they double booked the parking lot at the arena and will have to move us (the smaller group) to another section for our show, meeting area, and start of the cruise. Stay tuned for conformation of the new area. As of now it will be at the Arena east parking lot behind the Hotel......If nothing else just look for our canopy on the North East side of the Arena in the parking area (just behind the Orleans Hotel)
