Ya so I guess I'm "new guy" number two haha recently picked up an 04 GT black on black and will be slowly building it up for the track. Looking forward to getting to know the local (and non local) 8 owners.

Oh yee of little faith........Do you think you could remember to bring some WHiV4 Tees and Mugs????? Not too many just a few (and maybe a list of purchasers so I can ship?).
Little Phil will not be working on his car but the garage will be open from 10am until 2pm while I am working on my car. Stop on by, help your self to a drink out of the frig and let's BS. I have a small cooling fluid leak somewhere (I think) and can't seem to find it. Little Phil will be by and everyone else is welcome.

I am the worse at remembering stuff. Plus by the time I get home from work I have about a half hour to clean the car and get to the meet. lol

thats great! what was wrong with the one before? what dealer is performing the swap for you? did they give you any trouble with the warranty?

Honestly... Nothing was wrong with my engine before. She ran fine. But since my warranty is up soon I went and asked for a compression check. After we brought a few parts up to spec they declared my engine suitable to be exchanged.
Engine is on it's way and should have her back in less than two weeks. I went to the dealership in centennial. Never gave my an issue with my warranty. Never gave me an issue with my cai or cat back. And even said my girl has been immaculately kept.

thats cool chun. let me know what your final costs are after the swap. so i have an idea of what to expect if i need to go through the same thing. how much did they charge you to do the compression check?

$100 for the compression check. Then reimbursed to me once the engine didn't pass. Then I bought the plugs, wires, and coils for like $600 after labor and I bought a used cat from another member from here for 2 bills.
It depends on what you car might need. Not all the same parts need to be updated on every car. Just depends.
