Need different wheels. Tired of my bad MB Alpinas... Looking at some cheap Focal XFF's.

http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Wheel...4&autoModClar=

Some research and I found someone running them on a GenCoupe saying the specs are
18x8.5 all around 5x114.3
and running tires 225/45R-18

will it fit?

Thanks!

Wheel Diameter (F/R) - 18
Wheel Width (F/R) - 10
Wheel Offset (F/R) - 18 or 38
Suspensions Changes - megan racing coilovers

Also tires I would probly run 235/40

Im looking at some xd9's. I was just wondering where the wheels would sit on the +38 in relation to the fender. I realize it depends a bit on ride height but i dont mind changing that. I already got a roll and not really looking to pull which I would probly have to do with the +18 i would imagine.

I want XXR 530's also, but I want 17's since they're easier to spin (they're for drifting only). I need some advice on wheel width and fitment (I'm on stock suspension but might get a rear sway bar in the future). I want slightly stretched tires for less contact and roll. Should I go 7 inch wide or 8.25 inch wide (they're both +35mm offset). Will I find tires to stretch on 7 inch wide wheels? Will there be more tires for 8.25 inches wide?

ANYONE is free to add input, especially drifters.

Your gonna have some skinny *** tyres if your planning to stretch onto 7inch wheels. My advice is good coilovers and a 9 to 10inch wide wheel

If you're drifting you should consider suspension long before wheels. And mine are the 9.75 width with +20 offset on a 245/40R18.

I can't drift my daily wheels and tires. Suspension comes when I find out what I need by the feel of it when I actually drift it. And I do plan on getting a rear sway bar in the future. Thank you, though.

I want slight stretch for less tire roll and contact. 9 or 10 inches wide would have too much contact. I'm trying to get something easy to spin and slide. My purpose is drifting. 17's are easier to spin than 18's and I don't want to mess up my cruising wheels (factory).

If I get tuner lug nuts, I don't have to get different bolts. Do I? Just to be sure, I need 12x1.5 nuts, correct?

Yeah but the rx8 drifts very easily on 225s so if your planning to stretch a tyre onto a 8.25 wide wheel you'll be using a 195 or 205? Its gonna drift like ****. A good suspension set up will help you more than what you're proposing.

Inb4 you end up stacking it into a wall backwards

So I plan on buying these wheels by today or tomorrow, but I could use some help. I have an 05 RX-8 and it's on stock wheels and stock suspension.

I wanted to go for a
F:18x8 (5x114.3) +35mm
R:18x9 (5x114.3) +50mm

I do plan on purchasing tires as well, I'm interested in purchasing the Hankook V12 EVO's. What size should I get them? Cause the tires I have on now are 225/45/18 all around. So I wasn't sure if I should stay with that or need to adjust a bit since my wheels width are a bit different. Also do I even need the TPMS? Thanks again in advance all!

EDIT: Okay so just a little note, I just finished purchasing some Koni shocks front & rear as well as the Tein S-Tech Spring Set if that has to be taken into consideration with wheels & tires

They are the Rota D2's, I was going to go for the SSR Professor SP1, but they are out of my price range and the Rota D2's seem to be the next closest thing...lol
