Why wouldn't you use the same size tires all around?

It was just a few posts back where I posted a link to a thread with the answer. No need for 265s on an 8 for daily driving. 245s are as wide as you need.

is their a disadvantage from using a 265 tire ? so you think 245/35 would be best for 18x9.5 rim
and i read that link it did say 245s are best but if you are lowered a bit 265/35 are good too

245/40! 40 not 35. 265 can look good when lowered a lot. It's not necessary unless you have boost or drive in small tight courses like autox.

With a 9.5 the 245 is a bit stretched IMO. I'd do 9"

225 is the stock 18x8 tire and they are stretched there. I now have 235 on the stock wheels and they are square, I wish I had 245s but the 235s were significantly cheaper. That should give you a reference point.

Like this guy is stupid stretched lol. If you want a little stretch, try 245 or 255. My next wheel setup will be 18x9.5 or or 17x10 Enkei RPF1s depending on what I can fit, probably with 285s. Look up a fitment guide on the internet to see what will fit best.

You would need to be at more of a +15 rather than a +45 to have the wheel out there. Just get a bigger tire size and stop being cheap.(This goes for everyone with a question.)

im not being cheap.. i dont want them super wide buddy. getting +15 will make them stick out like 2 inches and thats way to much. i have 25mm spacers on my stocks and its perfectly flush. i want flushness with a little stretch. i plan on getting RPF1's 18x9.5 +45 thats already set. now im just figuring out my tires. The +45 will have me sticking out just a tad. and with some stretch it will be perfect when i decide to lower it. so you recommend 245/40/18?

What would be the best tire size for a 18x9 +30 offset, lowered on Tein basis? I thinking about 235/40 R18 should be alright but I would rather ask here before I make any purchases.

That should be alright. Minimal stretch. Will look nice. You could even go to a 245/40 if you want.

The pic you gave is something like a +15 with a 235. A good size with the +45 would be more like 255/40. I know someone with RPF1s in that sizing and it works well. You will be a few mm in from where the spaced stock wheel was but with more tire.
