Dyno Results Compilation
ran on the Cobb Tuning Mustang dyno at Miller Motorsport Park yesterday:
221.7 whp @ 8200
143.6 wft-lb @ 7400
gave up several hp/ft-lb across the midrange by running conservative AFRs (13.0 - 13.6 vs 13.8 - 14.4)

Was that with the stock cat? Either way thats a nice number.
What mods do you have and what Engine management are you using?? I have been stuck on not knowing what I should buy next for a couple of months now. Probably going with the interceptor-x next.
great result team . did they take it all the way to 9k ? I noticed that with tuning I got my peak at higher rpm .
Tips wanted for preparing to Dyno

1. Should I reset the computer before testing?
2. 3rd Gear or 5th Gear? (I plan to do 3rd as most people are using this I think)

The RX8 is a great handling car but a little light on HP. My previous car is a Audi A6 2.7t with Stage 1 APR upgrades, lightened flywheel and RS4 clutch. It is much faster but handles turns like a boat. I really liked my 2nd GEN RX7 TurboII (also felt faster) but is not practical like the RX8. (Not to mention the engine went up in flames while I was driving it) Sorry for the long post. Lte me know what you guys think.

Ditto 5th gear.
1) check and clean air filter and spark plugs if you can.
2)Check your oil and coolant levels so you don't have any overheating problems
3) do a baseline without resetting your computer first then reset your computer so you can measure the effect.
4)put in 93 octane gas
5)dyno in 5th gear
6)make sure the car is up to operating temp before putting it on the dyno
7)when you start up press and hold down the DSC button for 7-8 seconds before driving it on the dyno so you disengage the DSC and traction control. You'll know because the "slippery when wet" light comes on and stays on.
8)Do all your pulls on the rollers without driving off again so you reduce the variation due to positioning the car
9) Make sure you get the data on CD so you can take it home and manipulate it. I would take your readings in uncorrected numbers and then play with the correction factors later. Uncorrected is what your car actually made in the environment it's in. Corrected performs a calculation based on environmental differences from a "standard day" to try and normalize the number. Good for comparisions across different sessions but still a calculation and not real data.
10) Is there anything you want to try and compare? Like the stock airbox to your REVi? If it's easy to swap you can take it with you and swap it in between runs to see if there's a difference. etc.

On a Mustang dyno no less...any hopes of seeing your dyno curve?

I already use 93 Octane. So no problems there. I can change/clean air filter. (I will probably switch to K&N) The car has 45k mi so should I just change the spark plugs? All the "Campaigns" have been done to the car. I will try to do a "before" and "after" ecu reset.

I am still not sure what upgrades I want to do. I am thinking a midpipe change (with a high-flo cat) and a canzoomer or other piggyback system. Also thinking about some of those pulley things. Not sure if I want to go turbo or SC.
I have been reading the forums and it seems that intakes and exhaust don't really add a significant amount of HP on their own. The HP to $$$ ratio is not so great. I'd rather try to make the car "faster" by changing tires or by upgrading the suspension.
I wouldn't worry about that too much. Dynojet's are pretty common. Mustangs just read lower than Dynojets. Either way make sure you find a shop you want to go back to because you really should use it as a comparative tool not an absolute measure. If you make changes and then want to measure the results you're best to go back to the same dyno so you have a more accurate representation of what the effect was.
We only went to 8500 rpm, the peak was at 8200
The cat is a custom aftermarket high-flow, those numbers are running emissions legal and using the supposedly crappy original ignition coils ...
runs were in 4th gear, have done 5th vs 4th before and pulled nearly identical numbers, the difference is 4th is a bit easier on the car, 5th takes much longer to pull and the front half of the exhaust is magma red without the high speed airflow of actually running at the speeds you'd obtain in those gears. The cat gets stressed enough as it is ...

I was informed it would be this weekend before someone could get back to the MMP dyno and pull the graph data. My location over the weekend will not have any internet access, so it will likely be next week at the soonest.
Not trying to offend. It was a joke hence the smiley face. I'm very aware of Team's contributions and figured he could take a good natured ribbing. It was supposed to be a play on all the whining about no dyno charts I've been seeing on the forum lately.
