I don't mean to barge in, Mac, but all the connectors are easily removed and the vacuum lines have painted dots on them which match their color to their respective actuator connector.

He might have been talking about the propensity for snapping off the nozzles when pulling the vacuum lines.

It really wasn't that bad. I waited until I had everything else out to remove the 3 vacuum lines from their canister nozzles. Then I labled them and the plugs. Actually the hardest part was the 2 bolts under UIM on the driver side. My car only has 23000 miles and its only been driven one winter. Most of the bolts come loose easily and the vacuum stuff only needs a little twist before they come right off. We will be attaching all of them back with zip ties and clamps tho.

Got the Greddy(Grex) Oil relocation kit today and GTAW's bushings for the motor mounts. Both look to be excelent products. The Grex relocation kit is really nice because it has multiple holes for mounting sensors.

Only the first time.
I soak them with some electrical cleaner and then use a jeweler's screwdriver to hold the tang open.

I'll try that. Well at least the electrical cleaner...

My dad might be coming to my house this weekend. He was a welder/fabracator for about 20 years. When I removed my passenger motor mounts I found out what has been causing a vibration in my car. The front bolt that attaches the OEM motor mount to the frame had a broken weld. I had asked the stealership about a slight vibration I felt at idle. They said the motor mounts were fine but never checked the bolts. Well anyway, he is going to weld that bolt for me.

We are also going to be working with a sheet of polished stainless steel. We are going to try to fabricate a tray/shield to replace the OEM airbox bottom and battery box. Hopefully it works out for 2 reasons. One it should deflect the air coming off of the BHR radiator away from the turbo and piping. And two, it has a mirror like finish so it should look cool.

I would actually just shield the piping.
Allowing the air to go wherever it wants to will improve cooling. Deflecting the air right as it leaves the fans is a serious restriction in the OE setup.
I'm getting rid of my battery and the airbox/tray, but will be "double-walling" the charge and intake pipe..

My hands have been shaking all day. I can't really get any work done. So, YES!

I will take a picture of everything tomorrow just before we start installing it. It is AWESOME to see all those parts just waiting to be installed.

Wow! What a day! Charles R. Hill and I started yesterday at about 4pm and worked till almost 4am (with a little stop for food and supplies). Anybody needing help installing anything should talk to Charles R. Hill. The man is a machine, he knows his ****, and he is willing to travel with his tools.

Charles what are the chances of you coming to Florida for an install in the future? If you would come here what would be the chagre for a setup of the same system tdiddy is using?

One of the things that turned me away from a turbo system at this point in time was the hourly rate I was quoted for an install, as well as the total cost of kit and install compared to the HP achieved being way too much buck for the bang. I just couldn't see paying over $10k for 330 rwhp. It is just a frustrating thing when you look at someone with a 350z getting much more power for less money, or a $23k 2008 mustang gt getting 500 rwhp for $5.5k. Although it would never handle or look as good.

BTW Tdiddy are you going to run your car in the 1/4 mile at any time?

The chances of my heading to FL to do an installation of this particular kit are actually pretty good. It's my full-time job. Being a front-mount turbo kit, there is a bit of labor involved and, like every other kit out there, there are a few things that need to be ironed out. Let's talk via PM about an appointment.

We stayed up kinda late, again, last night and got the kit as far as we could given a few fitment issues we ran into. The hard stuff is all done and the help all of you gave Tommy and myself is well-appreciated by us both. I personally enjoyed working with everybody. Mike with the wastegate, Kyle with the Mazsport fuel pump, and Al on a bunch of other stuff. Then there was Mark, keeping the blue chair warm.......

One thing I found cool was that most of the guys who said they would be there......actually showed up! That's rarely the case outside of the rotary world. Then again, my friends are idiots and a reason why I am moving to AZ.
