I'm looking at a couple of different places/people...
A-Spec in Chicago?
BDC?
MazdaManiac?

I haven't decided yet. I have plenty of time for that. Right now I just need to get all my parts and have an install party!!!

Crrrush The Enemy!!!

My Friend, it is truly great to see that people are parting away from the Greddy and into the deep waters of the Wheel Horse Power!
Soon, the enemies (regardless of their make, model or displacement) will tremble and  in fear when they see an RX-8 pulling next to them.

Kane 11-29-2007 12:55 PM

Congrats, and looking forward to seeing in person and offering my valuable advice and opinions ("mmm, me like shiny... shiney good!")

Nice dude. So are you the first to "officially" have the PTP kit??

Hopefully you can hit 350-rwhp, but I think you will blow-out spark, unless you have a trick up your sleeve for that

I am doing a GReddy kit, but I hope to hit over 300-rwhp on the GReddy turbo with a different w/g actuator, then I'm going custom turbo in summer of 09 probably.

Yes, I am the first person to "officially" have the PTP tuner kit. However, I will not be the first person with the PTP kit installed and driving. There was a person who, shortly after me, purchased the ptototype that was installed on the PTP RX8. I don't know if this person is active on the board or not...

I have requested some minor changes to the kit that they had no problem helping me with. First, I want the oil & water cooled CHRA. Second, I want to mount the MAF in 3.5" piping. Finally, I want only one set of larger injectors because I plan to get most of my additional injection from the Ultimate's Sub-Inj function (my P2's).

As far as the spark blow-out, I am waiting and praying that Mazsport or Chris Esmeril releases a solution sometime before spring. I already need to replace my OEM coils so hopefully I can upgrade at the same time...

I am also adding the Mazsport fuel pump, Mazmart water pump, and BHR radiator to hopefully help with the reliability.

I must say that PTP has been VERY helpful throughout the entire process. They always respond to my calls/emails and have made every effort to get me what I have requested. So far, their customer service has been top notch!

chetrickerman 11-30-2007 11:49 AM

nice man, this should be an epic build
