I was at HIN in Phoenix last year and it was great. I went with the local Mazda club and we had a great time. I highly recommend it.

I got my gauges installed last weekend but I am having a little problem with the AFR gauge. It reads 00.8 when the car is off and the key is turned on. I may have calibrated my LC-1 incorrectly but I will email them and see what they say.

I also installed my ScangaugeII but I didn't hook it up yet. I am supposed to get my AccessPORT tomorrow and my MAF tube and 6mm silicone hose on Wednesday. Only a couple more days till I try to start it for the first time in over 4 months.

Nice Tommy. Is that a custom gauge pod? What is that LCD screen on your radio plate?

I bet you can't wait. I am in the same boat you are.

Yes, its a custom gauge pod. I picked it up about 2 years ago with the Boost and EGT gauges. The LCD is my digital AFR gauge. I also have a ScangaugeII. My plan is to go with the Lotek pod with fuel pressure, oil pressure, and oil temp but that will have to wait.

I wish it was work that has caused it to take this long. I would have taken vacation a long time ago if it was. I don't mind it taking a while because the weather sucks in central Illinois. I knew it would take me a while thats why I did the build over the winter.

Wtih that said, I'm really ready to get this thing on the road again. It's killing me.

It lives!!!! But with issues!!!

OK, Everything is installed and running. Kind of...

I reflashed the car and everything was going great until the rpm started going from about 1500 to about 500. I am not sure if this is due to the reflash and the car trying to establish fuel trims or what but the LTFT is spot on at 0 and the STFT fluctuates from about -12 to +12. The AFR fluctuates from 18 to 12 corresponding to the trim. I know it could be the injectors similar to Charles R. Hills problems but at this point there are too many variables to go pulling the UIM back off.

Anybody got any suggestions?

The STFTs were maxxing out a -20% at idle. They would bounce around a bit and the A/Fs would be fine during a cold start but once it started to warm up, trouble would start.

Ok, I never hit 20. Max was about +18 but that was after it went to -10. The airfllow is spot on at 6-8 g/s.

But you also don't have the 380s in place of the 290s with the factory maps do you?

No, I have 380 in place of the 290s with the MM 380/380/730 reflash. Its probalby just my my ECU needing to "learn" again after the reflash.

I need it to warm up though before I take it for a drive. I need to make sure I got the coolant full and let the smoking under the hood somewhat stop. I'm pretty sure the exhaust wrap is smoking because of the high temp silicone coating. I was hoping to let that cook a little and let the thermostat open before I took it out for a cruise.

The exhaust wrap will smoke for a while, coating or not. Vlad has the same thing going. Make sure Jeff gave you the proper scaling. He is aware, as I have told him, that he is an "idiot savant". He is smart and disorganized while I am half-smart and very organized. We have different coping skills.

Injector Twin powers.......activate!! Shape of......a 350 rwhp RX-8.

Yes, I kinda did that on purpose with suggestions from Jeff and Ray.

I flashed the V3_0. Once I feel comfortable enuff that it is not leaking coolant or oil I will get it down off the jackstands and take it for a drive. I just need to get the ***** to let it warm up.
