Complete newb question here.
Ive been reading and making calls for weeks trying to find as much info as i can and im not sure if my searching methods are flawed or what but im sure that even after getting burned here i will at least be pointed in the right direction.

Anything i seem to have pulled up in any of my searches has all kinds of information but when i look further into the companies that are mentioned (petit for example) all i find is that they are still developing the units, i even called petit and they told me the same.

I really would like to work towards a S/C install but i havent been able to find anyone that actually sells them, or even makes them for that matter.

Who still makes supercharger kits for the s1?

would i have to get one custom made at this point?

can anybody give me some links or info to point me in the right direction?

please help, i am new to all of this and like i said i have tried searching and i have read quite a bit but everything ive found that actually answers my questions has been outdated and i geep hitting dead ends.

 

sorry Myke--no good news here. Pettit doesnt have the kit anymore as their S.C. supplier dried up.
Moon is fabing up a new system.
Every now and then a used kit does come up for sale--its rare but it does happen.
To build your own would require a lot of custom fabrication.
Drop Moon a P.M. and he may be able to help you out.

at first i was concerned about whether i wanted to keep this car or not but the more i learn the more i love it and the more i want to learn lol.

Blimey you guys in the states have it so lucky, so many options, basically you wanna SC a RX8 in the UK and Petit are the only company and like stated, that's now not an option due to the suppliers... so right now, in the UK, you have to import a turbo conversion from you guys and get it fit by someone here...

230bhp is just not enough in these cars, I need 300hp lol... hopefully Petit will sort something out and offer the conversion again in the UK

lol they did , got my first speeding ticket, passing someone on a main road, 3 secs of full throttle I got clocked doing 51 on a 35. As soon as I pulled over I turned off my car, but they got me for tint and no front license plate. Better than getting my car smashed, oh well bound to happen when boosted.
