Got my Walbro pump installed today. Thanks BHR! Now I just need to find time to get some good logs to start plugging away at my tune again.

So far it doesnt seem to have changed anything at low/mid throttle. Its been wet out all day today so I havent been able to test anything at full boost.

Left for work early today so I could drive around and grab a log with some boost. AFRs are rock solid in full boost. It may have richened up the top by a little, but it could be my imagination. If nothing else the fuel pump gives the me peace of mind that its not a variable anymore.

The relocated O2 sensor has cut about 7 tenths of a second off my latency. I'm seeing just under a 1 second delay in off throttle readings(before it was ~1.7). Still not optimal, but its a huge improvement. Its obvious in driving and in my logs that my ECU is much more responsive now in adjusting fuel.

Now I can work on my tune and see about getting it back on the dyno this fall(when its not crazy hot out).

Mawnee -- how many miles have you logged on the kit to date and how many miles are on the car?

Congrats on the updates / sounds like a beast.

Took it for a long drive last night. A good bit of expressway driving where I could play with rolling in and out of boost. Tried 15psi and blew off a coupler, good thing I keep tools in the trunk I've still got a couple random screw type clamps in the engine bay in various sizes. I ordered T-bolts for all of them last night.

Aside from that the car drove fantastic! Gotta love rolling into the throttle in 6th gear at 70mph and the car squatting and taking off

Tune is back in decent shape. 3rd and 4th gears I'm getting a steady 11.1-11.3 at full boost. 5th and 6th a bit safer 10.9 for the prolonged loads.

I'm going to try swapping in the smaller Valve seat for my wastegate and tuning my boost controller. Right now I'm seeing about 7PSI with a 200-300rpm delay from thrrottle smash then it builds up to the 11-14 I have it set for by about 5500rpm. I'm going to try to get the boost response a little faster. Granted I'm working with a 1.00 AR hotside so I know I wont get instant boost.

mmmmm - like the sound of that . Didn't you have some worries about the shape your engine was in a while back ? Did it just come right on it's own ?

I was having some starting issues. But I discovered my battery was really low. Work is like a mile away, so I can get there by the time the engine warms up. Starting twice a day but only driving two miles slowly drains the battery if I only go back and forth to work for a couple weeks.

It still starts a little slower hot than cold, but meh, cold plugs, 04 starter ect.

I got the Wastegate rebuilt, took all of 20 minutes(Top mount FTW! ) Put in the smaller valve seat and the bigger spring. Boost comes up wayyyy faster now. The boost guage pretty much follows my foot. The only problem is now it more easily blew off my coupler.... need those new clamps to arrive now

I've got it set so just on wastegate its just over 8psi. I lowered my boost controller duty cycles to 25%(setting A)which gave me about 10psi and 45%(setting B). I didnt get to test setting B since it blew off the coupler but I would guess that will give me about 12-13psi. The only catch now is that if my boost controller fails or if the line comes off the wastegate I'm looking at 16-17psi.

I did an old school fix on my couplers that are giving me issues. Used some side cutters to put a pattern of points around the end of the pipes. Then applied some hair spray to all the couplers before reinstalling. It worked and allowed me to go out and get the car in full boost.

Holy SH!@!!!!!! The car is a completely different animal. At the 10psi BC setting it pulls WAY harder than what I used to get at 12-13PSI. At 13 PSI the car is rolling out of my BFGs halfway through 3rd! I am in love with my car all over again

Yep! Still had the same can of Rave Mega hold in the garage that I used to use on the couplers in my vette.

Never! I'm always pondering other options. I've even looked at converting it to electric

I had my car on the Dyno again. Car kept going lean so I didnt get a full pull. For some reason my tune works great on the street but was worthless on the dyno. Best was like 316hp at like 6000 rpm at 12psi.

I'm going back to the drawing board with my tune. Too many experiments over the last several months have made their way into my tune and thinking. So I'm going to start over applying everything I've learned to each step and hope I reach a better end result.

.
oooh - just checked against my dyno - same whp @same rpm and boost ...

Maybe your street testing and dyno pull are in different gears ????

That may be part of it. But on the interstate on the way to the dyno I did a ton of 4th gear pulls at various boost levels and it was rock solid in the low 11s. Once it was on the dyno it sat in the mid 12s. On the last run I even changed my commanded fuel from 11.2 to 10.4 and it still stayed in the 12s. I was so frustrated because I really thought I had my tune in great shape.

Then I got home and realized the chart he printed for me was scaled on MPH and had no torque graphs

another thing - I have had very similar experiences at the dyno to you - street looks great but lean on the dyno . Kane and I had a discussion about this a while back - could be just the location of the afr pickup creating the error .......
The operator in my case just kept the foot down and listened (via engine pickup and muffs) for any sign of knock . It ran in the mid 12s no problem ....
